BTW you don't happen to have any cats or dogs you could try pulverising a chicken for, would you?
I do (both dogs & cats) and I have seen a chicken carcass pulverised at a show. You could also use this as the basis for a very nourishing soup!
The Ideal Home Show (and it's variants) along with the larger agricultural shows have demonstrations during the spring/summer/autumn but I don't think there's anything at this time of year. There's a tour schedule on here https://www.vitamix.co.uk
I don't work for them, honestly, just a huge fan (in case you hadn't guessed)
I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
LOL.. That actually makes it sound a great deal more 'interesting' than it was!londonsurrey wrote: »Erm...., you do realise that it sounds like your idea of fun is rather S&M flavoured, don't you? :rotfl:
This evening a friend and I stepped out for the school carol concert to cheer on our dear kidlings. Apparently having Mum stand up at the end shouting, "Bravo!" and applauding loudly is embarrassing.
Next year, I'm attending wearing my panto costume.

:rotfl: Oh my, that's a brilliant idea!!
I think it should be mandatory to embarrass your kids at least once a month. It seems that singing along (albeit very quietly) to the music in the supermarket is a 'killer' when shopping with your not-so-young child.....makes me do it all the more :rotfl:I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

but not when you are singing the special 'choccy choccy' song of your own invention in front of the sweets display only to turn round and find out git son has sneaked off to laugh at you from a distance, and all the other shoppers are giving you, the nutter, a wide berth!Cash not ash from January 2nd 2011: £2565.:j

Just an update to anyone who is interested about the Vax All Terrain.
I've now used it a few times. My main motivation for getting it is that I absolutely hate mopping - I find it tiring and unsatisfactory, chasing all that dirty water back into a bucket. I want wet rooms, with drainage holes, so I can sluice it all with tons of water.
Anyhow, back to the machine. It sucks up well on a laminated floor, fairly well on a tiled floor.
The floor really should be prepped if there's a lot of fur and dust, but the machine copes well with wet messes. I do so hate prepping the floor for wet messes, so this is a real boon. I go over the floor after with a manual coral microfibre cloth at the end of a rubber broom just to get it all properly dry.
The instruction manual is terrible. The printing is so faint, I can barely read it. I'm not sure why Vax suddenly went on an economy drive for ink.
Vax customer support are great.
I'm quite pleased with the machine. It's good for large swathes of floor space. Don't bother with it if you have lots of fiddly spaces.
The last thing though is that my cleaner, who is one of the most patient souls I know, and puts up with all kinds of situations and appliances, absolutely hates it.
She gave up after 30 minutes, and said sorry, but she was going to stop, and reached for the manual mop. :rotfl:
So obviously, this machine is not for everyone!
