  • I've got my work Xmas party tonight......
I didn't want to faff getting a taxi home (it's a long way and they're not reliable) so I bagged a 29.99 MSE travelodge room to crash in:D

Is it wrong that I'm really looking forward to having a long hot bath and some peace and quiet after the party tonight?:o
Penny: I'm a little low on cash.
    Leonard: How much you got?
    Penny: Nothing!
Leonard: How can you walk around with no money?
Penny: I'm cute, I get by.

You're not weird Op. I got very excited when I ordered my Henry a few years back (and still love his little orange roundness).

This year I got all excited about the arrival of a top of the range Vaporetto steam cleaner and when it arrived immediately hastened into the (newly cleaned) kitchen to see what it would do....the amount of dirt and grot it got up was astounding! My skirting boards look like they're newly fitted now :D

I realised I was grown up when I looked forward to the bins being emptied after Christmas.

I love seeing washing billowing on the line, too, even if it means i have to iron it afterwards.

My big disappointment was the first time i ever tasted melon; it sounded so exotic to a little girl from the Valleys - it tasted like watery cucumber. :D

Words, words, they're all we have to go by!.

  • I'm off to search for a heated airer.

I love the icy mornings because my car has heated wingmirrors and i stand and watch in fascination as the ice slowly melts. I didn't even know I had them till last winter, after that I told everyone.

I got similar exciting feeling in the summer when purchasing Karcher window cleaner... And that is magical. It sucks all the water off the window clean, so no need to shine it up!
My OH was just shaking his head... He said I am not that excited when he takes his pants down.. I said if he takes them down to clean the windows himself I might let a little wee out with excitement like little excited puppies do...

:rotfl: my colleague borrowed her mum's karcher window cleaner, and hasn't stopped raving about it ever since - it wouldn't surprise me if thats what she gets for christmas this year.
  • I think I must have hit adulthood now as I get very excited about the various steam cleaners and hoovers on the shopping channels. Never actually buy any, but I do like to see a bit of muck getting shifted!

Although to be fair, when I was a kid I used to play 'shake n vac' with mums talc and the hoover!

I think my 'grown up' moments now happen when I turn the heating up an extra degree for an hour as a special treat!

Not at all, the last gig i went to i turned down the offer of night out after as i just wanted to get back to the hotel and have a nice relaxing bath (also i dont have a bath at home so it really is a luxury for me!) :D

  • I'm currently getting really excited about the new set of kitchen knives my MIL is getting me for Christmas (we get on and I asked for them before anyone asks!)
I can't wait to be able to cut veg in straight lines again as my current set is so flimsy the knife bends and cuts in odd 'C' shapes.
