I never thought I'd know anyone with a Vitamix!
This might sound weird, but can it pulverise chicken bones?
I often cook chicken for my herd of cats, but I hate deboning it because of the sheer time and effort (I've tried all the boiling, slow cooking, etc options).
My fantasy would be to be able to pop the bones of a chicken into a pulveriser, and then be able to feed it to the cats, as a source of calcium and marrow. Can the Vitamix do that, or is it pushing it in terms of motor power and blade blunting?0 -
I am 28 and have had a Dyson for 5 years now! I was soooo excited when I got it I was not a normal 23 year old!
We are doing up our house to sell at the minute so its getting a bit abused with dust etc.
So when we look to sell I might invest in a new smaller one and a steam cleaner too (I love the infomercial one I have seen on TV) so we can have a shiney house and a nice new one for the new house!
Excuses Excuses!!!

AND the worst thing is that we have a trip to Lakeland planned for this coming week. I was only going to get a heated airer for my daughter (and whilst on the subject, can I just say that this is the BESTEST BEST thing I have in my home at the moment!), but now I might have to get a Vitamix as well.
Must learn NOT to google "stuff" after reading about it!!
I promise you won't be sorry......and I bought the Lakeland heated airer a couple of months ago and, you're right, it's brilliant!londonsurrey wrote: »I never thought I'd know anyone with a Vitamix!

YES, YES, YES it can. It pulverises rock solid chunks of ice, so anything else is a doddle. The motor (or so I was told) would power a small car
If you're interested there are a load of videos on YouTube for the Vitamix so have a look at some of the things it can do. They are guaranteed for 5 years (some models for 7 years) and I understand that there are some out there that are over 20 years old. I know I sound like an evangelist but I love mine so much I bought one for my DD and talked my elderly Mum into buying one too and they are equally chuffed with them lol.
Ooh I forgot, if you're on a health kick and want to make smoothies in a Vitamix, there's no need to peel your fruit (or veg) generally. With an apple, for instance, you just cut in half and throw the whole thing in, peel, core, even the woody stem.....it all disappears into the juice without trace - fab!I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

I want one, I want one, I want one..........ang on........I dont have cats and no wish to pulverise bones. I dont like fruit juice..............awwwww I dont need one do I? Pity, it sounded so goooooooooooood!0 -
Last night I did something I've not done since my primary school days; acted in a panto. It was fantastic!
Playing the Fairy Queen, I got to dress up, splash glitter all over my face, wave a wand in public, help the hero rescue his love and destroy an evil witch. It ripped the t*ts off fun!

Thank you very much.
BTW you don't happen to have any cats or dogs you could try pulverising a chicken for, would you?

Don't be silly, you don't have to go without.

Erm...., you do realise that it sounds like your idea of fun is rather S&M flavoured, don't you? :rotfl:0 -
Selling my dining table. Excited about it going so that I have room to give the dining room rug a good clean with a borrowed carpet cleaner.
Not normal, right?0 -
My present from my parents this year is a few items of a Denby dinner service I chose, to start off my collection. Part of me thinks it's a bit sad of me, but part of me thinks wow maybe I'm actually a grown up now. (Always just had very random collection of cheapo plates and I'm not really the 'homemaker/houseproud' type. ).
Also get VERY excited about deliveries of my Open University course books, whereas as a kid I hated school.
I'm in love with my mini George Forman grill right now. I must use it 3 or 4 times a week. So quick and easy when cooking for one. What it does with a salmon fillet .... *drool*. and I also sing this song when I'm using it

OU student: A103 , A215 , A316 all done. Currently A230 all leading to an English Literature degree.
Any advice given is as an individual, not as a representative of my firm.0 -

We got a set of Denby when we got married a few years ago and added some more bits to it earlier this year (half price sale, yay!). It might be sad, but I was so happy about getting the matching teapot - it's lovely! :happyhear0 -
