NSD today and I went to my mum's for dinner (yum, had trout and salad and roasted new potatoes). Not sure what OH had so hopefully he didn't buy anything.
Anyway, just wanted to say to missmucksmum how sorry I am about your husband and fingers crossed that this is a great new start for you and the kids.Part time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018

Don't feel bad, your budget may include things that others don't! I used to include animals in mine which made it bigger and toiletries too.. changed the way I list my shopping so it's now just about the food.. this meant I could lower the amount
Oh and congrats on coming back, I'm returning this month after a 18mth break!! :T"There's a little witch in all of us"🔮🪬🧿DEBT FREE 06/2018Mrs SD’s Decluttering 2025 ⭐️ 🥇🥇🥇0 -

Thought I recognised the name, its that person who thinks this is all a waste of time!
Can't understand why people bother to post when they have nothing useful to say but just to be horrible to people
I think they are rather sad immature people, attention seeking like a naughty child abd best ignored until they learn to behave.Slimming World at target0 -

Morning, had my 2nd NSD yesterday, WOO. Today we are off on our yearlytrip to the panto with the kids, really really looking forward to it, although i'm not looking forward to going out for lunch before hand, even though it was my suggestion i though mum would offer to pay but she hasn't eek!!!! Looks like quite a bit of spend will come out of my eating out budget today, and park and ride out of my fun budget. But still super excited, i love the panto. Hoping i wont need to quite buy any shopping, will be taking the kids to spend their christmas vouchers, but i wont be distracted by anything else, i wont, probably. I have a bag of snacks packed for the panto, no way an i paying stupid prices for a tiny ice cream tub in the interval, it's just madress what they can charge, hope everyone has a frugal day. Morning, just popped on to update my sig - I'll have a read of the thread in a bit as it's moved on incredibly quickly and I can't catch up easily during the week. I made my shopping list, stuck to it and spent a total of £12.94 on 02.01.2013. I spent an additional £1.39 on a few bits for packed lunches on 03.01.2013. Yesterday was an NSD, which makes me incredibly happy - one of many, I hope. That takes my total spend to £14.33, leaving my annual total at £1,785.67.
Today, I'll write my mealplan for the coming week and my shopping list along with it. I have some chilli con carne left over to make another meal with next week, and I'm hoping to sort out my 2 freezers so I'm only running the one again - I had to switch both on over Christmas but things are getting back to normal now. Best of luck to everyone - it's nice to see so many motivated people.

I am on a store cupboard week again!
I spent £6 at Lidl the other day stocking up on pet food, but a scrummy through the fridge showed I do have enough there to provide meals this week. I don't enjoy weeks of using things up- the reason they have not been touched is because they are less than appetising.I've got a pastie, meat pie, a cauliflower bake (from Iceland, think its best served with macaroni cheese), some beef, and some curry that I got from Approved Foods and tastes best smothered in sauces. It will put me back on track though with this months budget- looking forward to returning to my home cooking next week !!now debt free and determined to maintain good spending habits and build savings0
