I have I am now upto 10 pound out of 60. I have continued to buy whoopsies all week.

I have bought mushrooms, bananas, potatoes, yoghurts, tapas, lots of cakes and salads.

I love whoopsie shopping as you cannot buy so much for so little.

    Hey all,

£73.04 on Mr T delivery... which is almost half my budget gone already... but I needed to stock up on Tinned Toms, meat, freezer supplies and some other bits and bobs...

Im kinda sorted for the month now though (fresh bread, milk and fruit etc aside) so the plan today is to batch cook, fill the freezer and meal plan :) xx

  • Mt T just arrived and making a list and food plan for the week is working so well, no food being thrown at the end of the week and for ome reason seem to be eating a lot better. Shopping this week came in at £42.54 but I had been given another £20 e coupon from mr T as they were late again and forgot my Christmas order, so this weeks shopping was only £22.54, have 2 more e coupons for next weeks shop.

  • Just a quick post for 2 reasons....

Firstly I actually managed to get a decent reduced item at Mr A on Thursday, I never seem to get anything good normally but I was standing at the fish counter when they came round and got a salmon fillet for 64p reduced from £2.28 so felt quite smug!! Does anyone having any tips on finding reduced items cos it always seems to be rubbish in the shops I go to!

Also just wondering if anyone has any tips for deliming a kettle without buying specific product for it? Thanks.

    Morning all :)

Had my first NSD yesterday of the year. Very pleased with myself for managing to stay in and have a lazyish day.

I cooked my first ever stir-fry last night using a stir-fry mix i'd gotton from whoopies £3 down to 15p and chicken breast strips marinated in cajun spice. For my first time cooking this i think the meal went quite well and we didn't feel hungry all evening afterwards. Going to keep sticking to my meal plans from now on.

I can't imagine today being a NSD sadly as my DP has suddenly come down with man flu and needs me to get some medicines from Boots. Also noted that either today or tomorrow i'll need to buy extra bread. My DP is very fussy about bread and won't eat whoopsie bread if i freeze it, his bread has to be a certain brand which also happens to be extra thick sliced meaning he can only get 2 days worth of sarnies out of it.

Off to update my signiture. Hope everyone has a good day!

    Suze :)

I read that you could buy value vinegar from the supermarket and put it in the kettle over-night to descale the kettle. Afterwards the vinegar can be kept and used again, think it costs less than 50p from supermarket. I'm going to try this on my next shop as i've been using those expensive sachets to do mine and it doesn't seem to be working well.
