its 2 tbs of borax and 2tbs of washing soda
now my dishwasher is a small not full size one so i used 1tbs each not 2
Thanks for the advice and homemade dishwasher stuff recipe - mine's a full size one but has been playing up lately so will try it and see - didn't think of vinegar, what a good idea!!:)
Thanks also to the person who recommended the L1dl/Ald1 ones - I had no idea they were good housekeeping recommended so will definitely be giving those a go :T0 -
Bit late here but please can I join in the grocery challenge too. Can you put me in for £300 per month and will try to get this lower as the year goes.
Many thanks.Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -
Got home from work tonight and DH had taken delivery of the MrT shop as he had a day off. Total of 11 substitutions!
DH accepted them all as he doesn't do the shopping and had no idea of the offers and deals. Total of £82.98 spent and was quite annoyed about the substitutions until I went through them all.
Not pleased about the 6xpack muller yoghurts - meant to be any 2 for £5 at the moment so ordered 2 different flavours. They only sent 1 pack as the other flavour was out of stock and they didn't think to substitute it with another of the first flavour, so I paid £3.59 for one 6 pack instead of £2.50:(
However, 2 of the substitutions really worked in my favour - Lalia basmati rice is on offer - 4kg for £3.49. This was out of stock and they substituted it with a different brand for the same price it was a 5kg bag that should have been £7! Also ordered a 400g jar of mayo that got substitued for a 800g one at the same cost!:T

missmucksmum I remember you posting about him having the oppurtunity to go on a detox programme and you being very positive about it. So sorry to hear he has not kept on top of it. Maybe one day he will do it but obviously not at the moment. The main thing now is for you to concentrate on yourself and the rest of the family. Wishing you all the best. xMARCH £62.38/2500 -
I'm attempting to bar myself from any supermarket that isnt Aldi, Iceland or Farm Foods at the minute. Will only go the others if I HAVE to, as I spend a fortune on all kinds - don't seem to be able to go ASDA without buying clothing!

Oh dear, I thought that today was going to be a NSD as I didn't even leave the house but Dh snapped his shoe laces and popped to sm for new ones and managed to spend £34.96! Half of that was baby milk which won't last long - my eldest never had formula and I didn't realise how expensive it was until I switched to bottles last month. Glad we only have 4 months until she can have cows milk.2018 wins: parrot drone :A £250 GBK giftcard  Ed Sheeran tickets :T Vampirina Microphone0

Hi all.
No Jan spends here yet so doing well!
Just wanted to ask about the poached pears as I also have some mulled wine to use up. Do you just simmer the pears in the wine until soft and thats it?0 -
