    NSD yesterday as planned

This morning I got a bottle of water some cold and flu tablets (Mr T own brand) and a pack of reduced mango for 69p bringing me to a grand total of £2.21

Tomorrow I will need some pop for our weekly works buffet and then a NSD on Thursday.

The weekend is going to be a steady one, out for tea on Friday to Chiqutos using the £10 off voucher from this site, Saturday we are going to go shopping in town using wedding vouchers so just parking and Sunday we are doing nothing and sponging on my mum and dad for Lunch. Hopefully this week I will keep the spend down to ~£25 to save some money for the stag do I have at the end of the week. Tank driving and late night bars aren't cheap.

I have a question for you - where do you think you get the cheapest milk and bread from? I'm currently shopping online at As** with a top up from Al** - I've never bought bread from the latter, any reviews?
I'll stop with the questions now! xx

When I dont make my own we have Roberts medium bread which has gone up to £1.45/£1.49 in Te$co and Morri$ons but is only 0.99pence in Aldi. B&M is even cheaper at 0.89pence but we dont go there too often and they also dont order a lot of it so its pot luck if they have any. Also brought the wholemeal from here which is nice. However we cant abide frozen bread so never buy loads if it is YS anywhere. We buy UHT skimmed milk and nothing else. None of us have any problem drinking it and in A1di we pay 53pence a litre for it. Cheapest that can find without travelling long way thus cancelling any savings out.

Another NSD today as not venturing out except as far as the bin if necessary. May be bad weather but it does wonders for the GC and NSD challenge. :)

I'd at least open it and give it a sniff. If it smells ok and the consistency looks alright when mixed up, I'd eat it.

On another dairy-note - I will never buy any milk other than cravendale again! Yes, it's more expensive, but I was ending up throwing out half-full cartons of the other milk, just because it was a few pence cheaper!:eek::eek: This cravendale never seems to go off :o

Would scare me though as what have they put in it to stop it from going off?!?!?!

  • Another 3 spends grrrrr. Mr T £10.78 Morris £6.17 and Market £20. Was only planning on spending £10 at the market but couldn't leave the bargains there!! Only half way through month and well over half way through budget.
  • "Spent" £2.50 worth of Nectar points today.
    6 basic eggs £1, 4 baking potatoes £1, 4 tins of basic rice pudding 0.48p = total £2.48.:j
so still no "money" spent this year on food:T
    Meals today:
b/fast : muesli (bought before Xmas) & milk
Lunch : tuna mayonnaise & red onion sandwiches (bought before Xmas) + crisps (bought before Xmas) and half tin of rice pudding with plum & milled wine jam (Xmas pressie)
Tea : son's coming, so he's having cassoulet from the freezer (made Xmas eve) I'm having salmon hotpot (leftovers from last night's tea) + lemon drizzle (H/M)

So 2 weeks in of no spending on food and I'm still not starving :)

Pathways and pavements too iced up round here for me to even attempt to go out, was thinking of getting a Rosspa order for fruit and veg but logged on to find that they have ceased trading. So sad as they were really good. Oh well didnt really need it just WANTED it.

YS steak puff pie for DH and the children tonight, I will have qu0rn sausages.

Best laid plans and all that....ended up having two slices of ham instead of the sausages as my BFF phoned me as dinner was cooking (she doesn't have children and has no concept of 'trying to get dinner done before one of the children has a club to go to' scenario).

Also forgot to get pork rib steaks out to defrost last night, so tonight's tea will be red thai chicken curry with rice and naan. Will use the pork tomorrow in the slow cooker in a sweet and sour sauce.

NSD yesterday and today but will need to pop out for milk tomorrow (and check B00ts to see if the rumoured 75% sale has started ;)).

Hope everyone has a good day.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Just updated my total spend - now £58.45 out of the budget of £200

Had to do a top up after the bad weather warnings, hate going out when it is icy as my foot is still not 100% after rupturing the tendons last year! Makes me very nervous of slipping. :o

Eating the leftovers tonight, leftover vegetables and mash = soup (hopefully) and leftover sunday dinner for main course!

    Take care all
