  • You have to be bold and speak to her, say "hey thingy, bit awkward but you know that meal the other night, I forgot my scarf, went back to the restaurant ......" then tell her what was said by the manager. Finish by saying you're really confused and wait for an explanation. She will splutter and try and wriggle out. If she goes on the defensive, say don't worry, I'll ask the others for clarification. She'll squirm for sure. She's a thief and will carry on until she's stopped. Remember you're not accusing, you're asking for an explanation.
