Heres a little update of sorts...

please go steady, as this is my first parking or motoring offence/fine.
We've been trying to do so, but patience is wearing thin. For a start, it's not a fine and it's not an offence. You seem to be determined that it is one of these, and thus "real". I don't know where you're coming from, but you are absolutely wasting your time contacting people. Has nothing actually sunk in with you?

BTW, the service area were wrong to wash their hands. The PPC are their agents, and so they are responsible for everything the PPC does. I bet you didn't mention that to them. That's why, if you are really determined to keep chasing shadows like this, you need to be a lot better informed than you are. Currently you seem to be of the misinformed opionion that you can "get one over on them" through a few phone calls. WRONG! They have heard it all before, and they have thicker skins than an aged rhinoceros.

    Just drop it.

Ive also tried to look at the letter chains, but there is only one letter listed here forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showtopic=74183 what comes next?

So you completely omitted to look at the 'pre-October' listings on the same thread? Yes your fake PCN was issued after 1st October but that doesn't mean we are going to suddenly have pics of all letter chains in just 10 weeks since then. Think about it...obviously no-one has had these letters yet!!

Please, please, research a bit better; the link to the pre-October letter chains was there on that thread in front of you but you just chose only to click through to the pepipoo-hosted new letter chains link (obviously a new 'work in progress', it surely doesn't need pointing out if you just think about it and consider the few weeks we have had to start compiling the new version?).

Try again, 5th thread from the top and this time, click on and look at the known letter chains - hosted by MSE forums for years and heaving with CP Plus scamograms.

Tomorrow i will be calling the services again, and the number on the reverse of the CP plus fine.

No you won't, you'll be putting the fake PCN in a drawer marked 'ignore, scam'. To be joined by each letter you can match against the 'old' letter chains thread.

And it's NOT A FINE. This is NOT your 'first parking or motoring offence/fine' - you have still never had one.

The services will probably be totaly un aware of how a PPC opperates what it is etc etc, and who ever you speak to will beleive the charge to be legitimate, in return they will wash their hands of it and ask you to appeal to the PPC as they say they are not responsable, the PPC will probably say you need to sned appeals to them by writing to the address on the parking charge ( not a fine) notice, thats if you get anything other than a pre recorded message .

As i said he/she can't be helped just let them pay it and be ignorant and stupid all their life.

    There is one adage which i believe to be so true;

Never ever underestimate the stupidity of the general public, just look around you.

PPC's and others feed off this.

A dumbing down of a generation, but, not every one is an idiot.

Complaining to MOTO is useless as they and CP Plus are very closely related!;)

You have had the best advice to ignore it completely I suggest you follow it!
  • As mentioned earlier a little update:

I've been doing n some more digging, and i now know for sure what a fine/penalty charge is, and that CP plus are in no authority to issue fines, if they try, then they can not be enforced.
As far as i can see the amount demanded by CP plus is a 'fine' or a penalty as it has no relation to any land owner loss, and therefore its un-collectable.

I have tried contacting CP plus via the phone number - I had some time and an old sim card with a little bit of credit that I need to use form time to time to keep alive, the phone number ends at an automated response , press 1 for this, 2 for that and so on ( I have a recording of this ) it waffles on about evidence that may help your case, followed by please hold to speak to an operator, then ringing, then all our lines are busy please try again later.
I may try and create a youtube or similar account to upload the calls to if possible.

Ive also tried the service station number, but no luck, when i pass there again i will make a personal visit.

As for taking this seriously, i was, but now im just going to waste their time ( and hopefully money ) my main complaint is with the service area, for allowing these crooks onto their site.

As for advice down the pub, well ive copied the original charge notice/'fine' and asked people what they think, most people said that it should be paid, ive also been over to pepipoo, and printed a quantity of the flyers off, and passed them on - the same people are shocked and surprised when they find out/read the info on the flyers, and then want to know how these company's get away with it.

On odditiy ive noticed is that the CP plus demand gives me 14 days from the date of the letter, i didnt get it until 6 days after that date, which means that in a few days the 'fine' goes up to the full £90

So what am i going to do in the meantime?
    Not much.

The 28 days expire in early January, so i may pop an email 'appeal' off to CP plus along the lines of:
you cant prove it was me driving
that the pictures dont show me parked up for the alleged duration, as they only show me arriving and departing, my vehicle may not have been in the same place for all that time.
the times on the cameras may be inaccurate.

i will only contact them via email, and old mobile, as i wont the cost of a stamp.

As for getting the message out, over the next few months i will be spreading the message out to:

A senior citizens activity club+all the people who come to pick up the OAPs as well as the OAPs themselves ( one of which i mentioned previously) - about 25+OAPS

A local History club 20 members
A photographic society same as the history club

A martial arts club, with sessions for adults, and youngsters 60 persons, roughly 40 youth with 2 parents each and 20 adults with partners freinds etc

A Scout group - beavers/cubs/scouts etc, all the parents of the kids, and all the leaders - roughly 70 youth members, and 15 adults

    That is great, Driver_29! :T

Getting into it like we are, giving out pepipoo flyers, etc. Good on you.

Just one thing - if you do write to CP Plus, end your letter/email by demanding the 'POPLA verification code'. Then CP Plus will either cancel it yor you can get your own back by costing them money for the POPLA appeal - which you will ignore if not in your favour of course, as it's not binding on you at all, only on CP Plus who HAVE to fund it and HAVE to accept the decision!

Just to make one thing clear, i have absolutely no intention of physically writing to them, to do so would be a waste of stamp, envelope and paper, as for getting in touch - i may do that but not at any cost or expense to myself.

As for spreading the word, between now and Christmas i will be taking part in a charity bag pack at a supermarket, so i will spread the word there as well, including to the parking attendants (TCP/Euro car parks i think)

But for now ive got to go

Consider yourself lucky (in a perverse sort of way). Many PPCs somehow don't send out their notices till after their reduced payment date. Clearly a deliberate ploy, just in case you weren't fully conversant with their despicable practices by now.

Oh dear. You clearly still have much to learn. That won't wash in any way, not since the Protection of Freedoms Act, so don't bother trying it.
