Back from the pub, most people said i should pay the discount rate then appeal and claim the money back, a few said to forget it, as its not a real ticket, and the car park company employee said that "its not one of ours" "basically its !!!!!!!!" "and if it was one of ours it would still be !!!!!!!! made to scare punters into paying up"
I still may call CP plus for their side of things, and to tell them what ive found out. As i dont want the added stress and worry of debt collectors calling round with bailiffs.
edit - the word censored out with !!!! is waste material from the rear of a bull.0 -
Forgive me for saying this, but are you actually reading any of the replies to you? If you simply coming here and ignoring all the advice given to you, what is the point in coming here to begin with?
And by the way clamping on private land is ILLEGAL in GB now, and its NOT a fine
Agreed, very annoying. Why waste your time posting and then everyone else's who takes the time to reply?
I too have an enhanced CRB and have successfully ignored a PPC invoice and that was prior to getting my CRB, so as you can see it has no effect on your CRB.
Also, if Dave down the pub works for a PPC; what do you think he's gonna tell you? A) That the company he works for, scams innocent people out of their hard earned money orthat these ticket's are legit and you should pay.
My bet is on B, when answer A is actually the correct answer.0 -

There is no helping you. You have had all the information that you require and you're still not convinced. You would be as well paying it and be done with it. Or if you pay me £35, you can tell them I was driving and get all the letters sent to me.We will accept the reduced sum of £50.00 if payment is received within 14 days, ie before DATE
If payment is not received within 28 days an additional administration charge of £40 will be incurred"0 -
Right I'm going to try once more before I lose the will to live.
Their side of things is thus, we want your money, we will not listen to appeals, we want your money, we will listen to what you say then ignore you, we want your money, we will send you junk mail, we want your money, we want your money , we want your money.
Do you get the idea ? It's a waste of time speaking to them, it's a waste of money to pay them, view all the BBC Watchdog videos who have experts in the field on them, and who are a lot more reliable than dave down the pubExcel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -

For bailiffs to come to your house , the case would have to go to court, you lose ,and then you fail to pay whatever the judge orders within 28 days. As it's never ever going anywhere near a court then you have nothing to worry about.
As for ringing up the parking company and telling them "what you have found out". I think they already know that they are running a scam. they don't need to have it confirmed by you. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -

Errrrrrmmmm...nope. I am sure you have better things to do than ring a scammer on a premium line, they have heard it all before anyway. It's not new for people to know it's all a con but it is pointless trying to point it out!As i dont want the added stress and worry of debt collectors calling round with bailiffs.
Hmmmm...you must have missed the second pepipoo link I already gave you above? What on earth makes people think that a random company can just send the boys round on the premise that you 'owe them some money'? If that were the case what would be the point of Small Claims Court if anyone could allege any debt against ANYONE and then send in the heavies to demand payment with menaces? You are getting muddled up with Court bailiffs and door to door collectors where there is a credit agreement (such as a mail order catalogue), none of which applies here, I shouldn't think you recall signed a CCA agreement with CP Plus or their debt collector pen-pushers?!
I hope you have at least read enough threads here to know that there will be debt collector letters? ooooo, junk mail, how scary (not)...

As well as checking out tht link for the the preview pics of your scamogram 'letter-chain' to ignore (honestly it's a laugh and perfectly SAFE to ignore) please read the pepipoo & other links I already gave you. Bailiffs indeed! :rotfl:PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Pay them now.
In fact, why not send them twice what they are asking for 'just in case'.
Also include a £10 tip as a nice gesture for xmas.
Oh!, and include an extra £10 from me too.
Anyone else want Driver_29 to chip in an extra £10 for them too? (Let's face it, these poor PPC's are losing out with so many people ignoring their letters, when they get someone to cough up they must feel like they've won the lottery).0 -
Ive had a good read up on this company, and others of its ilk, and the worry/panick that i had previously is slowly turning to anger.
How on earth can the data protection act allow this to happen DVLA passing details on?
any where i can complain?
Secondly these cameras that photographed my car, have missed my going out I entered the service area on the way to where i was going, and then returned for a very short time on my return home, as something had come lose in my car.
Continuing onwards, how does this tally up with government advice to take a break, if you doze off at the services due to fatigue, and you happen to (need to ) sleep for a little longer than expected then you will end up with a fine.
As the cameras appeared to take a picture of my first entry, and last exit, and then charge me/fine me as a result, how many others have paid up without question, out of fear - the only thing that stopped myself from paying the reduced fee immediatly ( as i wanted to get it out of the way ) was that it had gone past 5pm - and CP plus's contact us number ( 0208 731 3100 ) under contact us had closed ( open 9-5) and the website wouldnt let me pay online.
How are CP plus allowed to operate in this manner, I very nearly paid what about all the other people who pay up? if this is what it appears to be then why doesnt moto kick them off their land, and return any moneys paid to where they belong?
My probable cause of action will be to ignore the stuff from CP plus, and complain like hell to the service area, any pointers on how i can make it hard for moto/CP plus? I believe there's some new appeal process, the letter doesn't mention much about it, other than there's a provision for an independent appeals process it doesnt say what it is, or give any pointers.
edit this is probably explained in the link /posts above :mad:0 -

You are the perfect example why PPC's exist.
You can't be helped. Just pay the scam invoice and have done with it. Once you do pay it be, safe in the knowledge that you have been scammed.0
