No you didn't. That story has been posted on MSE since (at least) 2009 and you hadn't joined then.

If you're going to steal other peoples' stories, don't claim them as your own.

It actually did happen to me...whether it also happened to someone else or not I don't know. I don't go round checking up on things like that I'm afraid, but I don't appreciate being called a liar.

There are actually pages and pages of the same story if you google it so it does seem to be a bit of an urban myth.

  • My best one was i ordered a chicken. Just your basic value one and ended up with 5 free range ones -plus the value one

Even the driver said he couldn't work it out. Did i want to send them back? No way kept me in roast dinners for a month. :D

I use Ocado and sad to say my Subs have always been very ordinary. Lamb dog food for Beef etc

I do look forward to a sub though, it's like surprise shopping isn't it?

What size tampax did you order? Perhaps they thought two fingers were enough in your case ;)

How miffed would you be if they sent a cucumber?
    :D;)
  • I believe I identified some very suspicious behaviour regarding subs from Tesco's once. We found that we were having very basic items (basic bacon etc) replaced by luxury items (best, most expennsive bacon) and basic prawns replaced by best king prawns. We refused them and waited for the refund. Wasn't forthcoming. Challenged the store and according to their records there had been no replacement. Their copy of the delivery note had the original items delivered as normal. Had to send our copy of the delivery sheet (fortunately retained) and a refund eventually came through - and the feeling was it was very begrudgingly. Would have had no chance if we hadn't kept our delivery note, and where did those king prawns end up I wonder. Anyway, best replace I ever heard was salmon fillets (for a dinner party) replaced by salmon fishfingers.

Never had many problems since switching to Ocado.
