Thanks my darling!!!
I have actually got a little plan together & if I stick to it rigidly then I could be debt free by December 2014 - Now this might not happen cos if & when things crop up then money may need to go elsewhere but I am gonna give it a good go anyway!
Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek so excited

Hi everyone and I hope you don't mind me joining?
During December I decided to focus on clearing my debts by December 2015 before I celebrate my 50th birthday in Jan 2016. So I couldn't believe my luck when I found this thread yesterday and subscribed immediately.
My total debt to clear as it stands is £15,948.13 - so I need to pay a minimum of £443.06 per month or more if my budget allows to get it paid earlier!!!!
Ideally I would finish sooner and save a pot to do something exciting to celebrate the end of the debt and my big 50 birthday!
My first payments will start on 1st Jan so will be back to update my totals then, unless I get a chance to pop on to catch up on all your progress - good luck everyone.:TFaced my debts in 2012 & 2013 again in 2017 now hitting it in 2018!

Hi I'd like to join please.
My husband is due to retire from the forces in Aug 2016 with a reasonable gratuity and pension - I don't want to use this money on paying off our debts so would like to be DF before then and Dec 2015 is a good point to aim for.
We have 2 grown up daughters (19 & 20) who are both working and financially independent so our spending should be greatly reduced from now !!
I'll tot up my/our debts properly for New Years Eve then I can start 2013 with a firm idea of how I'm going to tackle this problem.
I have joined the sealed pot challenge 6 to save for next years Christmas presents and started saving £2 coins so I feel 2013 will be a good year.SPC 6 # 1850 £2 coin saving challenge #119
