Evening all.
Mind if i join?
Been reading the thread when updates have been made & can see many of us are all in the same boat..
I had my LBM not long ago & have been keeping a dfd for around a week or two. I'm the wrong side of 20  & would like to move forward with my life with the "normal" things, Marriage, children & having our own home.
I see some of you are also having the same problem as us, Our house is a nightmare. !
Although for where we're living, our rent is on the cheaper side £495pcm, Its the smaller - other things costing us a fortune each month.
So..I'll stop with my rambles..until ive been accepted to the thread :O lol xFuture goals:
Become debt free.
Beat Depression.
Be happy & healthy0 -
Of course your accepted - We are all lucky that there is no credit check LOL

Yay, well done!! A brilliant start. I won't be joining on the weight loss challenge as I'm hoping to be pregnant again before too long (well thats my excuse and I'm sticking to it) but I will definitely be a cheerleader for you all :j:jDebt Oct '13 - [STRIKE]£44,076[/STRIKE] £41,578 5.7% cleared0 -

Hugs for everyone who is feeling poorly at the moment, hope you feel better soon xxx
Well done to those who have lost weight this week, it is so hard after all the indulgences of the festive season!!! A great achievement!!!
With regard to the house, we have decided against it. We looked at it last night, and it wasn't in too bad a shape, better than we thought (the poor house has been through a lot over the years). But, and I know this may sound daft, there has been a lot of terrible stuff happen there in terms of the people who have lived there over the last few years, and we worry that it could rub off on us. I realise this may sound silly, but we have been in the house during the bad times, and it felt "bad" when in it if that makes sense? Also, our friend was not going to empty the garage, and we need the storage space for things, so would have had to hire a storage unit which along with the slightly higher council tax cancels out just over £100 of the rent saving. Anyway, the decision is made!!!Co-op loan: £2672.38. £2886.64 / £5559.02
HF's B'card: £2468.00 0% until November '17 _pale_ £255 / £2524.00
HF's FD Loan: £5467.78. £918.72 / £6386.52
Total: £5376.62 / £15814.78 33.99%

Newlywed this doesn't sound mad at all, I completely believe in the power of a house and the feelings it invokes, and if there is any thought at all that the feeling isn't right then I reckon you just wouldn't feel ok there. Good move for general happiness I sayDebt Oct '13 - [STRIKE]£44,076[/STRIKE] £41,578 5.7% cleared0 -
Thanks Daisy, glad someone understands where I am coming from! Happiness is the most important thing, this is going to be a tough task for us getting debt free, so we need to be in the right frame of mind to achieve it. Being unhappy would not help usCo-op loan: £2672.38. £2886.64 / £5559.02

Thank's for the warm welcome peeps!
Ninja, Not good about the house. This is something we're going through too. Sadly, This place is lovely. (A little doll house people have called it) But its without some major problems / repairs.
The issue we have is:-
The place we rent is easier on the wallet per month once i go back to work. (HB will be lost / cut) but, its costing us, roughly an extra £120 per month on silly things, Like their is no heating so buying gas bottles to replace the electric heaters that doesn't heat the house.
Mould outbreak is now affecting my OH because they haven't put any air vents in the property.Meaning i have the windows open loosing the above.
The list is endless. However, We now stuck because we have used all our funds, took unless loans out meaning we have NO funds what so ever to even consider moving.
Our 2013 plans are as follows:-- Me to start back working now my depression medication is working & is on the right dose.
- Bash a huge dent in our debt. Looking to pay off at 75%!
- Decided between buying our own home or rent again.
- Start moving money into our savings account for property fund.
- Loose some weight so i can get pregnant! Or at least help me too!
Future goals:
Become debt free.
Beat Depression.
Be happy & healthy0 -

Your targets for the year sound good, take it easy on yourself though too, coming back from depression is tough, I have been there myself xxx
