Evening All, had a major sort out of the garage and it looks amazing and love the feeling of being decluttered. I can actually walk from one end to the other (which is a novelty).

found all of our camping stuff (only been once) and OH and I and the kids discussed whether we could have a budget holiday. OH is going on a golfing holiday to portugal (already organised before our "budget" bonanza), my 2 dds are also going to Portugal with their dad in March so that just leaves me and d-step-d, plus I think that it would be nice for us to all go somewhere together as a 'family' but it will have to be "budget".

Sent dd's shopping together (ages 13 and 14) for school shoes and trousers. I gave them £70 and this was also to cover their train fare and their lunch. I wanted to give them some independence and past experience has taught me that if I go with them there is usually a dispute, a strop (either me or them!) and then end up spending a load more than I needed to. However, they came back with £15 change. They did really well, they were proud of themselves and I had to say that I was proud of them too.

Sorry to hear you're not well still Dolly Rocker, and Ninja, I think this is a fantastic idea - lucky you, but I agree about making sure you both know exactly where you stand in regard to work being done on the house, notice to move out etc, it would be awful to be in a position where they need to come back suddenly. it just stops you having any difficult conversations at a later date. Really pleased for you though, I'd be excited too. x

Well done RO! That's a fantastic loss! SF - I'm well impressed with your batch cooking. I've just been shopping and pleased to report that I only spent £37 on food for the week based on our meal plan (Slimming World).

My weigh in date is a Tuesday so I'm a bit out of sync but will let you know then how I get on. Tuesday is also my first year anniversary of being SMOKE FREE! I smoked for 20 years!!! :T:T:T:Twoo hoo

Sympathies. My kids were all ill before the end of term and are only really just better, just in time to go back to school tomorrow. I had a sore throat that started on the 23rd and isn't quite gone. I think that germs just taken much longer to a shift this time of year, probably because of the crap*y weather and lack of daylight and sunshine.
