I got those exact ones from ebay. they are ok and id probably buy them again. You do have to tidy up with tweezers though and they are a bit fiddly.0

Hi
CAn someone give me the names of some threading salons in huddersfield, halifax?0 -
I took my virginal eyebrows into a salon yesterday, to have them professionally 'reshaped' for the first time!
Come the morning, I still have a dark pink stripe under one brow. It's sore and seems to be raw (not quite weeping, but feels moist) O/H thinks it's bruising... but he's a man
Did she burn me or have I had some bizarre one-brow-only reaction to the waxing? I'd have expected blisters if it was a burn...My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
Ouch! I would guess that she didn't quite get the angle right on that eye when she did the ripping off!
I shouldn't think it's bruising and would imagine that it will be gone by tomorrow, your skin is probably just protesting!0 -
I've only had my eyebrows waxed once, and never again! Left me very red for several days ...
However plucking them to that shape has kept them under control since then.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Never had mine waxed. Have thought about it though.
I've just spent 2 or 3 weeks waiting for my left eyebrow to recover after I over plucked it.:o Thank god for my fringe:rotfl:0 -
Some people are very sensitive, first time I got my upper lip and eyebrow waxed, I left looking like a clown and was so embarassed because I had popped into the shop next door like that
It was only when I got in the car, I noticed!!
Threading is absolutely brilliant when done quickly and properly. My facial hair took an astonishing 12 months plus to grow back.
Therapist should do patch testing on clients 24 hours beforehand, to see how the skin will react.0 -
Hope your eyebrow is in better shape today (no pun intended!)
I had a reaction to wax the last time I had my eyebrows done so have been tweezered ever since.
At the time, the beautician recommended that I use a cold compress and then smooth on some anti-burn cream stuff and don't keep prodding at it - this seemed to sort things out.
I know it's not pleasant but it is only temporary - just try and avoid getting sunburn on top of this - ouch.:eek:I was going to take over the world but got distracted by something sparkly.......0 -

On the subject of eyebrow threading, does anyone know of anywhere in/around Peterborough that offers this service?
Thanks.0 -
Sorry all... was away for the weekend in a technological black hole!
Pleased to report that the weeping and stinging stopped on Saturday, changing to a (thankfully not too obvious) scab. As it was only one brow, I think I can confidently say it was a burn! As I say, B/F thought it was bruising... but I've never known a bruise to weep...? Ah well!My TV is broken!
