Another vote for waxing here! I think I paid about a fiver in a tanning/beauty place in Swansea and it's quick and easy and pretty much painless and I didn't end up looking too startled!!! Well recommended.

    Jxx

Careful if you get them waxed in the centre of town... Theres a salon above me shop which does eyebrow waxing... me and the gals in work like laughing at the people coming through with bright red raw eyebrows after theyve had em done... sorry, we're a bit cruel like that...
You lied to me Edward. There IS a Swansea. And other places.....

    *I have done reading too*
*I have done geography as well*

Just butting in quickly, what exactly is threading?

My hubby shaves mine really nicely, but obviously, it doesn't last as long, and I hate getting it done! I have them waxed occasionally, but it really hurts! (says she who has has 3 children! LOL)

threading is where they get a long piece of thread and twist it and somehow it pings the hairs out.. it's not pleasant but it definitely looks even neater than waxing and definitely better than anything I try and do :o

    some info here

A vote for threading here! I think it just seems to come out neater and a nicer shape for me though it probably is down to the person doing it.

That happened to my scouse friend - we went to the "tanning shop" which was by BHS but has now moved. I was fine after it, but she started off like Dennis Healy and ended up with a bright red stripe across her eyebrows which lasted for two days!!! Hilarious.

And it looks like we made it once again
Yes it looks like we made it to the end
  • Hiya! I recommend trying out the Shavata Eyebrow Shaping Stencils.... I tried these last year & now cant live without them! They're really simple to use; you just stick them where you want them, fill in everything inside the stencil with an eyebrow pencil, remove the stencil & pluck everything below the drawn line! Makes it really easy to get a great shape!

If you have a quick nose on google, you'll find a few stockists.... (haven't got a link, sorry!).

I have some of those, but I'm un-sure how you fill in the areas you don't want to pluck. The ones I have, have no space to fill in the area with an eyebrow pencil (sorry difficult to explain what I mean). Do you stick them above the eyebrow??

I have really bushy eyebrows (and they meet in the middle  )

I've tried those trimmers, and plucking and I'm absolutely rubbish at it. I now go to a really nice salon, and get them waxed :D

She does them really quickly (I'm a wimp too), and they look great.

Ah, that sounds a bit weird! The ones I have are like a big sticky rectangle with an eyebrow shape cut out. Are yours more like an eyebrow shape that you just maybe stick over the eyebrow & pluck around??

Here are mine, if that helps!
