I always tweeze my eyebrows, and I have got to confess I'm not brilliant at it. I've been thinking about other ways to shape my eyebrows, but whated to ask advice before I paid cash out.
I've seen these on ebay.. "Wax Away" has anyone tried them or would recommend??
Here's the link to the ebay auction

Thanks in advance

I've tried something similar, can't remember the brand and didn't find it much good at all. The best thing is to get it done at a salon, either waxed or threaded, only costs about a fiver and they do a fab job☆ §ügÅr cØÅTëÐ pØï§Øn ☆

If I were you I'd go and have them shaped at a salon so that you get the shape right. It shouldn't cost very much at all. Then I'd invest in some wonderful Tweezerman tweezers and just pluck away at the hairs as they come through so that you keep the shape.:smileyhea "here, hare, here" :smileyhea0

I have Tweezerman tweezers already
I have been to a number of salons and non of them have shaped them as I've wanted, so I've always walked away disappointed. I'd rather stick to tweezing them myself to be honest. I just kinda struggle with the lighter, thinner hairs.0 -
I can highly recommend having your eyebrows threaded, it's really quick and the results and shape is amazing, traditionally it's done in Indian salons but as it's so good more and more high street beauty places are doing it, but you won't get it done anywhere better than an Indian salon, if you have an Indian area near you then just pop into the local salon, I go to Southall in London, it cost me £3 to have them done, if you are nervous about going in then maybe if you know any Indian women they will tell you where to go or maybe even do it fo you.0

I bought some of those Wax Away strips from my local Boots (same price and no postage) and they are useless, they hurt and made my browline red but didn't actually remove many hairs so I ended up plucking them. I only bought them because they had extra points or something but now the box is sitting in my drawer gathering dust.

I had my eyebrows waxed as a mother's day 'treat' last year - some treat! Although there were two other 'treatments' included which were a lot nicer.
Anyway, I didn't like the after-effects of the waxing: very red under my brows. But it did leave them in better shape for me to keep them trimmed than they had been.
My Best Buy on the eyebrow front has been a little trimmer from Boots - got it with points, it was about a tenner, IIRC - and that is superb for getting rid of the long stragglers you tend to develop as you get older. Some of mine were embarrassingly long, and white to boot! Difficult to pluck because the root was so hard to find, so far away from the end ...
Once a week or fortnight, I whizz that over my eyebrows, and then trim any stragglers as and when I see them.
You can do three trim lengths: very short, short and not so short. Dare I say that the very short one is also just the job for trimming the hair on your toes ... :rotfl: and I KNOW I'm not the only one with that problem from the leg waxing thread!
BTW I only ever saw it in the bigger branches of Boots.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
I just wanted to add that different salons will give very different results!
I was lucky when I lived with my parents our neighbours owned a fancy salon and I would always get cheap treatments. The woman who did eyebrows there was a real perfectionist and was fussy about where she got her wax from. Plus she had a firm grip and was really great about holding the skin really taught, which makes it hurt less. I actually found the process quite relaxing and really barely painful (and I'm a wimp!), and my eyebrows were never more than a bit pink afterwards.
Since then, I've gone to some very... uh, different places! I never got on with threading, but loads of people swear by it, and I find plucking too painful (my eyes well up immediately). YMMV!0 -
Wax away strips I found totally useless!
I also recommend threading, just point out the shape you want. I keep mine fairly thick so I dont have to pluck very often, but threading defo gets a great shape. The indian ladies are the best as they have been doing this technique for ages and ages. costs about £3.All men hear is blah, blah, blah, blah, SEX, blah, blah, blah, FOOD, blah, blah, blah, BEER:wall:0
