eyebrow shaping...

I have had my eyebrows threaded a few times and it does give a really good shape and is very precise. It does hurt quite a bit – especially on the really fine hairs but it is definitely worth it for the overall effect. One day Rodney we'll be millionaires£2020 in 2020 - Running Total £170

I agree, threading is the way forward, there is no sensitive patches like after waxing0

I'm with you on this.
The local (posh) salon charges £10 for eyebrows.
The city centre "eyebrow bar" charges £9 for eyebrows.
The asian ladies in their little upstairs salon charge £1.50 for eyebrows, or full face (eyebrows, lip, chin, sides, you name it, if it's furry, it goes :rotfl:) for £10.We may not have it all together, but together we have it all

The only problem is that, whilst my 16 year old DD1 is sitting in the chair having her blonde brows done, the Boss Lady keeps glancing over to my adorable 10 year old DD2 (who is very, very dark around the eyebrows) as she sits in a chair reading a magazine as she waits for us to finish. I am sure she has marked DD2's 11th birthday in her diary as an appropriate time to introduce her to the concept of shaping - it's like having a spare Auntie!I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0

Oh, you're so right about threading! I love the effect - it's absolutely perfectly shaped and wonderful. That said, I live out in the sticks. The nearest place that does it is a 30 minute drive away and - as it's a salon - it costs more than my local girl charges for waxing, sigh.
I'll be on the lookout though - I just can't wait until my next trip to Turkey to get perfect eyebrows :rotfl:0 -
I have been having threading done for a few years now, and love :Tit but have to travel about 7 miles. I wish there was someone closer to where I live!!
But I must admit the upper lip hurts:eek:0 -

I'd love to be able to do threading, for those who are too sensitive to wax, but I have enough on my price list as it is :rotfl:
And £10 for an eyebrow wax?! Where do you people live :eek:0 -
I wish there was someone who did threading here as I used to see it done in the hair salon I used to go to in London where all the girls were Turkish and it looked fantastic. All the dark haired Turkish and Asian girls went there.
I had my eyebrows waxed 2 days ago for the first time ever  and I'm amazed at how red the area was even more than 24 hours later.....not sure if I'll have that done again. And it was £9! (I'm down South). Usually I pluck them myself but as I am very blonde it's really hard to see the fine hairs. They did turn out a better shape with the waxing though.Penny0 -
Can someone explain what the difference is between threading and waxing? ...Well I know what they do for waxing but have no idea what threading involves.
I'd love to have my eyebrows done but have never ever had the courage. I'm mid 40's as well !!Decluttering, 20 mins / day Jan 2024 2/20
