Happiness is a perfume you cannot pour on others without getting a few drops on yourself.

On the subject of eyebrow threading, does anyone know of anywhere in/around Peterborough that offers this service?
Thanks.
It has only taken me 18 months to find someone locally that does this.
I had my eyebrows threaded this week in Peterborough.
It's fab! Took only a couple of minutes, and the results are great.
Having this done has taken 10 years off my face! Honestly!
The best £6 I can remember spending. Ever.0 -

Hi
I'm unsure if we can name/recommend businesses on these threads, so I've sent you a PM with the info.0 -
Myself and 2 friends have had our eyebrows threaded and they looked fab when we had them done.
A week later I have spots/pimples around the eyebrows (I am blonde fair skinned), friend 1 also has the same problem (also fair, blonde). Friend 2 has very dark hair/skin, although not asian/black at all, and hers are fine.
Do you think its because we are both fair?
Friend 2 has (as she puts it) skin as tough as a boot!
Mine and friend 1 have very sensitive skin.
I have had this done once before and had the same result so tried it again to see if it was a one off.
The threader lady washed her hands etc and used some tea tree gel after so I dont think it was because she was a minger!!!
I suffer with spots anyway (chin area) but have never had them on my eyebrows/eyelids before!!!!!
I think I will stick to plucking/waxing as I have never had a problem with these methods.
Has anybody else experienced this or know why it happens???:money: Martin Lewis Rocks!:money:0 -
maybe where the hair has been ripped out it leaves the pore open, so it's easier for dirt to get in and block it? I'm not implying that you don't wash or anything, just an idea!
Tea tree oil is good to use after hair removal to help prevent ingrown hairs and also keeps the area clean, so this might help.0 -
I get those spots, doesn't matter if I wax or thread.
If you'd seen my brows before, you would understand why I'm only too willing to put up with the spots lol
I have no idea what causes them. I've tried with and without lotions before and after, no difference. Sorry I've not been much help, but at least you know you're not the only ones.
Oh I'm dark haired but fair with freckles if that matters.0 -

It sounds as though you may have ingrown hairs, which is more likely if you have sensitive skin. if so, your skin has grown over the hair follicle, not allowing the new hair to grow through and causes a small bump/pimple. Normally it is recommended to exfoliate and moisturise the area, but not so easy in eye area to exfoliate. Do you use eye cream?0 -
no because everone i try gives me excema in that area.
I wonder if it was because I was wearing make up, (foundation)? I know friend 2 doesn't wear foundation as she has great skin anyway..
I do exfoliate, I use Liz Earles cleanse & polish, so it exfoliates with a cloth.
Im glad Im not the only one:money: Martin Lewis Rocks!:money:0
