Oh that was one of my favourite stories too! I was obsessed with dolls houses as a little'un (still am really!) so I guess that's why I loved it so much!
Oooh I love a bit of coral Shrimpy! It's so rubbish that you have to wear black or navy at work! Can you sneak in bright accessories?

So... how do I go about removing a follower from Twitter without said follower finding out?!
I don't make a point of telling all of the people I know IRL about it as I only really use it to share with my lovely onliney ladies and a couple of old friends and I'm happy with that. I was talking about Twitter in general with a friend from work and he asked if I had an account and I said yes but explained it was purely for talking girly rubbish with friends who live far away and it's really not worth following me... then he went and found me and has started following me! He came over this morning and said, 'Oooh, you shouldn't be shopping for dresses at work, should you?!' He's only teasing me and wouldn't bring it to anyone else's attention, but I'm still peeved!
I don't have many work friends on FB as I don't like colleagues seeing what I get up to out of work (then doing that freaky thing when they drop into random conversations what they've seen me 'getting up to') and now I've got it from Twitter! Grrr. I know it's a public forum but it always felt somewhat anonymous at the same time and now I feel like I've lost that.

Oh birdie. I'm the same. FB is for my RL friends while twitter is more my online friends. I feel more anonymous on twitter.
Not sure how you remove a follower unless you can block them. I don't really know. Sorry. I'm sure someone much more knowledgable will be along shortly with advice xGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
Might do a Cinny and change my name to something [strike]silly[/strike] awesome, it never even occurred to me to have it as anything other than my actual name! At least it might put other people off finding me!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. I posted a photo of my DD with Angelina ballerina once and it got retweeted by someone I didn't even know. I went mad and told them I wanted the post deleted immediately which fair play they did. After that I removed my surname from my profile and replaced my profile picture with an object. I now never refer to my kids/hubby by name and never post pics of them (especially the kids). I know tete has even protected her tweets after a stranger contacted her. It's a minefieldGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000

It's so weird, there are people who've favourited Tweets of mine and I've got no idea who they are or why they're doing it?! I still don't *get* a lot of it, don't even notice for ages if I've been retweeted or anything
Going to do a little fiddling with my settings tonight though!

Hi girls - ugh, I feel your pain there, I would hate that! MSE, my blog and Twitter are all for my non-RL friends, whom I actually mostly prefer to the RL 'friends' on FB - I post totally different things in the two arenas and it's the privileged few who know of all my aliases!
I'd block the colleague Birdie (and change your name to something less personal, even just use your first name) - surely he won't challenge you on it?! I'd be mortified if someone blocked me and wouldn't dare say anything! I protected my tweets a few weeks back because like Star says, I was getting retweeted by strangers and I didn't like it - you sometimes forget that there's more than just the people you interact with on there.
I'm all hopping mad because I was in the office on my own today and have a load of personal admin to sort, but was good and did a load of actual WORK work this morning so I could spend this aft sorting mysefl out, and in comes my boss who I'm sure has only come back to this office because her new boyfriend lives nearby, otherwise I'm certain she would have just gone home after her meeting at the other office. Anyway, I'm spitting feathers because now I'm forced to do WORK work ALL DAY!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -

If someone random favourites a tweet - have a look and see if there's a spam link in their profile - they use 'favouriting' a lot to get people to look at their profile I think (although who would be dim enough to fall for that I don't know!) - the increase in this practice was another reason I protected my tweets.Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -

Gutted!! My new armband came today Tete and I put my phone in it to try and now it's stuck!! I can't get it out. Luckily the touch screen works through the plastic but still! I'm hoping DH can [STRIKE]get it out later[/STRIKE] save my phone from its current captor!Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
You could just protect your tweets, Birdie
that way I think only people who you follow back can see them? I have everyone on the tweeter - family, friends, work buddies and my bosses so I've never thought to sensor it.
And I don't know what you're on about, Patty Cakes is my actual name now
It's my favourite Potter too, I just liked how naughty they were and I'll be honest - I liked how the food was drawn!0
