I have a grey and black pair of work trousers and I throw them into my get-up every other week to show willing, as it is what we're meant to wear. But I think I look so awkward that they just don't correct me :cool:

I think Ziggly would look great all 1940'd or 50'd up! She's sure got the hair for it

Can't wait to see your dress, Tete! Started practicing with my hair, trying to tease it into victory rolls. Hoping after I've had another month and a half playing around it might look half decent for a day I am finding that it's making me look all rockabilly or something, Mr Tattoo man said I looked "all 1950s" yesterday. So I must be going down the right track?

I'll no doubt remind you before I go, so just let me know if you want me to take it in, Birdie No pressure!

I think with my hair the best option would be to go all 70s and Farrah Fawcett the heck out of it... but I've just remembered that I found a really pretty dress that screams 'Betty Draper in Mad Men Season 1' which I'm a little in love with on ebay (which I can't link to right now as work blocks me) and it would call for a 50s/60s look.

I wouldn't know what to do with my hair as its so short. Cinny you have short hair like me don't you? Maybe I should google it. What date is the meet up again?

oh my gosh so it is!! In that case I have the perfect sixties outfit. I was thinking "vintage" as in old as in 20's-50's completely forgot about the fab 60's

I think I'm going to have a little flower on the inside hollow bit under my ankle nubbin (the scientific term for it I'm sure!). Just so I know it's there without it being obvious to everyone else.

I guess it'll be a lily of sorts, want it to look like the flower from Tangled.

Yes it is I'm getting the pin up girl after I've got the cuff sorted, just the dragon horse fly and garden flowers to go. Although after talking about other illustrations I'm tempted to get a little Tom Thumb and Hunca Munca first

I do, Star! You could go 20's with finger waves? I just have a typical pixie cut, but I can quiff the front up, pin the sides back and throw a bandanna (kept spelling that as banana!) and it looks passable. I think the fair is on the 19th of July?

That would look so pretty, Birdie! And you could have the swirly bits coming out of it

Aw Cinny that was one of my favourite stories as a kid, that pic has brought back all kinds of happy memories

Birdie, I'm another one in cardi and flats. We have to wear black or navy in my new job and its killing me, everything I own is brightly coloured. Basically if its coral, I'll buy it

Tete - I found it took me a while to get into Life of Pi but I really enjoyed it
