Such brilliant news, Dinah, really happy for you all. I nearly had a little blub too - you almost had the whole thread in tears!

    Happy Friday gang! :j

Anyone got exciting plans for the weekend? I'm going to a craft wholesaler place tomorrow with my friend who's got a membership card as she's a business owner so I hope I don't get too carried away buying stuff after spending so long sorting out what I've already got! :o Think she wants to get ideas for her wedding too, I've told her I'll do all of her stationery as their gift so it'll be a bit of a scouting mission for that, hope she sets the date and scheme soon so I can start work on everything. :) Other than that we've got a quiet one planned as we were a bit accidentally spendy last week and planning to be spendy next weekend as it's our 'Proper' wedding anniversary on the 18th. :)

Has anyone been up to anything nice and crafty this week? :)

Hi birdie, not got much planned for this weekend. DD has her swimming lessons and I think my sister is home for the weekend. But apart from that I'm not exactly sure yet.

Got a few crafty projects on the go which I really need to get moving on though

The craft wholesaler sounds fab. Glad I'm not going though as I would spend loads

Tonight we're at our posh hotel, so excited!

Rubbish morning, NIM called to tell me he'd just been got by a DVLA gun, and his tax disk is out of date. I had no idea it was out of date, although it appears we were sent a letter and lost it. So now we've probably got a fine on that. Did at least get all the tax back yesterday, which is great as it sees us through the month and hopefully will give a little for next month too, phew.

Gutted on the tax disk dinah!

Anyway it's done now, nothing you can do about it so forget about it (for today anyway) and enjoy your evening away

  • Eek to the car tax - you'd think he'd have noticed when he was doing the pimping the other day! ;)

D and B your weekend plans sound ace; I'm giddy-excited for my girls' weekend of lunch, shopping, afternoon tea, posh hotel, curry, ballet, cocktails, breakfast, perhaps an art gallery, Sunday Dinner, more shopping and perhaps tea and cake for good measure! Can you tell today is the last day of the detox? :D

Woo woo, have a fantastic time tonight, Dinah! Try not to stress about the tax fine - Starnac's right, nothing you can do now except enjoy yourself!

Birdie, a craft wholesaler sounds right up your street - and a little bit dangerous! :D

I've been rubbish at being creative all week! I've just been working, exercising, eating, sleeping - so I'm really tired *and* I haven't lost any weight :( But OH has cooked nearly every night and baked some bread yesterday!

Love the wallpaper for your closet, Lara! What a nice project to do - and still relatively inexpensive compared to the impact, non?

I did book a long weekend in Gothenburg for our first anniversary though :) cheap flights, but we're staying here in the Royal Swedish Room, which is basically a suite  But only for half the trip - we're staying in a normal room for the first 2 nights, so it's almost deserving of a twirly Martin :o

ETA: Hi Tete  your weekend sounds perfect! Enjoy :D How is the detox going...?

LOL Tete, what a way to fall off the wagon! I hate dieting over the weekend, it's just not possible! If only we could tell our bodies that they're to ignore the 2 days of abuse per week and concentrate on the good stuff Mon-Fri! :p

Ooof to the tax disc. :( Hope the fine isn't too much.

Have a wonderful time at the hotel tonight, I'm not at all jealous! Give me a wave as you drive by my turn-off! :) Speaking of, for some reason Mr Lewis is coming to my town today according to his FB status, no idea why though?! He seems to think he's getting the train here... should be interesting considering the railway line has been out of service for 40 years! :p

Oooh your hotel looks very nice Poddle! :)

Still trying to think of somewhere nice and cheapish to go in May for a few days (4 nights maybe?). We're just rubbish at holiday shopping! :o
