  • Ah I saw that Birdie and wondered what he could be doing..?

Ha yeah, I have a feeling anything I've lost will go straight back on but it's damage limitation I guess? Detox is OK, it's not that hard, mainly because you know it's only for a few days I think. I'm going to carry it on next week after Tues and then move to phase two.

Poddle that hotel looks gorgeous, I love the Rock room! Have a fab time! When is your anniversary?

Hmm are you wanting sun on your trip Birdie or not bothered?

Well we either want nothing to do and it to be boiling so we can chill or 'just nice' and lots to do! :) Not overly bothered either way really.

Apparently Martin's filming something on the market square so I'm wandering down for a nosey to get a peek! :)

I think I accidentally ended up on camera :o

I went down to be nosey and they were doing a little march with a band down a little cobbled street so me, OH and BIL were milling around watching, OH got bored and went home, BIL and I stayed and got told 'Normal members of the public over here please' by some patronising sounding woman and we were told that where we were standing the camera might pan by but probably won't catch us... then everyone started walking towards us and Martin's sidekick woman was waving at us to walk down with her. I'll be the one looking dazed and confused by the whole thing! :rotfl:

  • Ooh so what is it and when's it going to be on? What is Martin like in real life??

Gah I've just had some mean woman shouting at me down the phone because she's failed her coursework :( Why do people have to be nasty and especially on a Friday afternoon?! Not my fault she's a thicko :D I want some chocolate!!!

I hope you told her that! ;)

He's shortish, balding and nerdy in real life as far as I could see! :) They spent forever setting the scene up, everyone got into place then just as they were about to go he went 'What am I supposed to do once I've finished speaking?' to which everyone groaned! :p

Not sure when its on, we didn't get told anything because we didn't think we'd be on it! It's a bit about council tax rebanding so will just keep my eyes on his Twitter/FB feed to see when he mentions it. :)

I don't love him *hellfire eyes* *omen music*

Hope to see you on the telly, Birdie! Our family company (namely my Brother and Cousin) will be on DIY SOS this Wednesday :) well, most likely just the back of their heads while they fit a tap or something..

Love that hotel, Poddle! I've spent this afternoon booking my bosses a weekend break for a marathon, I'm in pretty hotel overload!

Jealous of everyone's weekends!! I'm working tomorrow, then taking Ryder for his first trip to his favourite walking place this year :) and on Sunday OH's Mum is over for a roast and cake! So will no doubt spend all morning on Sunday frantically cleaning and lighting candles so it looks like I'm not only taking care of her son, but have an impressive collection of Yankee candles! I love how his mum still gets the royal treatment, while when my mum comes over it's like "Hello MTV, welcome to my filth.."

Hoping to get some crafting done too! We need to bring our FB page to life with pretty pictures :D

:rotfl: Tete and Cinny!! It's definitely Friday in here.

Lots of lovely plans for the weekend - hope you all have *extreme fun* as my friend in Uganda used to say. Glad that you are both having special weekends away Dinah and Tete. Eat lots of lush food for me!

Birdie - the craft trip sounds dangerous - hope you get some lovely bits.

Poddle your trip looks fab :D Is it soon?

Check you out Birdie seeing Martin, after being so coy about celeb spotting earlier in the week :D

Hope you managed to get on camera!!! :money::money::money:

Cinny, do you not like Martin? That's outlandish talk in here :p

You'll have to tell us who to look out for on DIY SOS. I love tht show - am always blubbing at the end.

I'm working this weekend I'm afraid but I have got a big meeting with a friend on Monday who's going to help me try to sort out my thesis mess. :A

Wallpaper is arriving next week :)

    Hi everyone

Haven't posted on here for ages and, obviously failed the january challenge. There was a lot going on after my father in law died and then it sent my mum right back to when dad died last year so it's been rather stressful, plus stress at work which has been driving me bonkers!!!

On the plus side, however, I have decided that I have some aims for this year and did actually use the de-junk challenge to sort some stuff out but am going to keep it up through the year.

    • I have shredded all the confidential waste paper we had (finally)
    • Updated my cash ISA (all £9 of it ) to my married name and new address
    • Sent a letter to the petlog people with a copy of our marriage certificate and asking them to update the dogs to the right address and into both our names
    • Sent off a form to the Irish Nursing Board that my company has been hounding me about for months (long story and loads of hassle)
    • Finally got the phone my dad used changed into my name so I can use it for entering competitions etc (I know I could get a new sim etc but he loved the number and I just want to keep it going - I know it's a bit soppy but that's me)
    • I have also started up the blog I write about our youngest dog again. Mischa is rather 'naughty' so I wrote a blog but hadn't updated it since June - cue Marley and me behaviour!!
    • Have started going back to zumba classes and done a bit (of huffing and puffing) on the treadmill
    • Today I have also started the process of changing energy supplier :T
I have also decided that this year I am going to sort out doing a counselling course and going for a big life change, something that makes me happy but that I can still earn a decent wage in. I hate my job but I am lucky to have one so it's up to me to change things.

I love the idea of the craft challenge but I am useless at everything I turn my hand to so I'll just watch what you all do....although I want to try and learn to knit so any ideas of good books/websites etc would be welcomed (can I still join your facebook group please Dinah?).

Flower, congratulations on your engagement and Dinah/NIM, I'm so pleased to hear about Grace's news. Hope everything stys on the up for you cos you have been through so much already.

    Right, that's enough for now
    Have a good weekend :j
Let's start again (really need a kick up the bum now) :wall:
