ETA: Did you watch the NYE RAW?! I only thought of it as AJ's bat-crap craziness reminds me of your bro's GF and Cena's slating of her was brilliant! :)

I did! And it was on that level only less weirdly-sexual. Was dying at Ricardos segments, although OH is getting annoyed that every time he comes on tv I'm like "I COULD HAVE HAD A SLICE OF THAT MAN-CAKE!" :p things have calmed down a lot now though, I'm just not bothered enough to let her get to me anymore. I even saw her on Christmas Day for a walk!

Think that email is definitely the universes way of giving you a big hint to ditch the friend! Must be hard though, no matter how many times people wind you up when it's in you're nature (aka, good people!) you're willing to give people so many second chances for the sake of their feelings.

Tete, when I first started working here I thought the same thing! I had to have it explained to me about 3 times because I was just thinking "they test boobies!"

Maybe the clear out should be 1 thing and each newsletter cancelled 1 thing each? In that case a recount is needed as it'd boost 7 things onto the total! :)

That's how I did it :) Right I'm off home seeing as there's no-one here!!

    Here we go!:
    1. Backed up all the photos on my phone to my computer so I could clear out my photo stream.
    2. Debugged my computer - defragmented and downloaded a new anti virus.
    3. Sorted all my photos into perfect files and deleted any unwanted junk.
    4. Unsubscribed from old yahoo groups that were bugging me and cleared out my junk emails.

    So that's 4 out of my 100 :D

Mmm, dejunk January going well so far for me.....NOT!

Broke the shredder last night trying to get rid of a load of paperwork and couldn't get the decorations into the garage so a big fat zero for me yesterday!!

However, the decorations have gone today, as has the Christmas food (dogs are so useful sometimes!!) but nothing else has been done. I am going to go through my email accounts tonight (right I have gone through 2 email accounts so one more to do tomorrow!), though, and unsubscribe from junk and clear out the rubbish too, to bump up my total from zero!
Let's start again (really need a kick up the bum now) :wall:

Unsubscribed from 3 more junky e-mails! I never knew I'd signed up to recieve so much rubbish! :p

Also cleared out 2 bathroom baskets so I can actually see what I've got now, and there's another carrier bag full of stuff for the bin! :T

    Hi all!

I think I will join you all on the the decluttering. Starting with the kitchen I think - hopefully will make a start tomorrow! The amount of junk in our cupboards is actually quite depressing.

    Other than that by the end of 2013 I hope to;
    • have our debt at least halved (would love for it to be gone but I need to be realistic for us).
    • and hopefully have another bump on the way, after having lots of talks over the last few weeks OH and I have decided now is the right time to start trying again.

Awhh, good luck with Baby No 2 Flower :) Hope it happens quickly for you!

I forgot to put my "End of 2013" goals. I'll get all my stuff together at some point:
    • Have £2,500 in savings
    • Have OH's car loan paid off
    • Hopefully have a little bundle here/on the way!

Got 40 things sold on Music Magpie last night for £88.49. They're picking the parcel up today, so I'm counting that as 1 thing for today. Also giving my Nan a DVD over cashing it in on Music Magpie, and found a bunch of change in an old purse I'm going to hold onto until I go to the shops later and can put in a charity pot for a third point!

Morning all! Phew, I'm shattered, was up til 1am making soup (which I then forgot to bring in for dinner!) and sorting through my books. I've got rid of 32 in total, checked them all against the trade-in thingy on Amazon and 7 will go there, I've sent 24 fiction books to the chemo ward with Dad today and will take 11 cookery books to the charity shop in the next town when I go for acupuncture next week (I don't like putting them in my own town because my granny shops in them and I wouldn't like her to see a load of stuff she's given me appear. But honestly - why would I want a book of 'old-fashioned' recipes involving pigs' trotters and offal?). I now have only 19 cookery books which is much more manageable! I've also updated my Goodreads account to delete any books I was chucking and add in any new ones I'd acquired since I set it up. So I've gone from having 78 unread books to 85 :o I'm counting sorting my goodreads as one declutter so that brings my total so far to 47 - love this challenge!

That's a good amount on music magpie Cinny - what stuff do they take these days? I should probably get rid of my CDs as I have most of them digitally now anyway but I just can't seem to bring myself to do it...

EDIT - and another 7 email things unsubscribed from = 54 items decluttered. Honestly if I don't check for a couple of days I end up with 100s. I don't think we sign up for them as such anymore Birdie - I've noticed I get emails automatically now from pretty much anywhere that requires an email. I just wish the annoying PPI/injury claim texts and phonecalls were as easy to stop :(

    Morning all! Happy Friday! :j

Got a sore throat/headache/cramps and feeling quite sorry for myself in general, just in time for the weekend! :o Luckily we've not got a lot planned. :)

Yesterday I managed to clear 6 things. :T TBH I think I'll average around 5 a day so decided to have that as my goal. :) Doubt I'll get much done tonight as I'm out at 6.30 and it's always difficult to do anything housey over the weekend as OH gets in the way but I'll give it a shot, can have a quick clearout of a drawer or something whilst I'm waiting for tea to cook! :) Tempted to just chuck everything out without going through it all, it's so cathartic saying 'Screw it, I'll just bin it!' :)

Well done on the Music Magpie-ing Cinny! Such a lovely easy way to declutter and make some money without the hassle! :T When OH discovered it he went crazy, if it wasn't screwed down it was put into MM for a valuation! ;)

You're doing so well Tete! :T Although it's not so good that your to-read pile has grown again! :)

Had a little think about my goals for the year and they are:
Have £1000 in savings (after a big holiday and a couple of weekends away)
    -Be a comfortable size 10 again/lose 30lbs :o
-Get my (new) Day Zero list down to 40% complete
-Be happy with my lot in life! :)

Exciting stuff about trying for a brother or sister for Noah Flower! Hope it happens quickly! :)

Has anyone got nice weekend plans or is it going to be a quiet January for us all?! :)

  • When I looked at your list my eyes merged 2 and 3 and I thought you were aiming to be a size zero  I predict number 2's not gonna happen for you this year ;):)

No plans here really - just running and maybe some sewing as I've challenged myself to make an item of clothing every month this year
