Cleaned our "tat" cupboard out in the kitchen before I came to work and sorted through our books to see what I can trade in on Amazon later - does that work like music magpie as in they sent you a postage label? Otherwise we'll be charity shopping themAlso found a big change jar so decided to be selfish and add the coppers I found last night to it. It's now pride of place in the tat cupboard
already have a possible 4 things picked for tomorrow too
I love how motivated everyone is right now! It's making January a lot less grey.
Music Magpie does games, CDs, DVDs, clothes (like Dinah, I think, mentioned) and electronics. If you download the app for your phone it's a lot easier!!0 -
Thanks Cinny - app downloading
I prefer a lot of apps to websites these days, much more user friendly, is that where companies are investing now?
Yes you print a label from Amazon otherwise I wouldn't be sending anything either, they're all heavy cookery books!Maybe that's why they give you so little for them, to cover postage?
Just posted this on my facebook but thought you guys might like to know too: CITV Old Skool Weekend this weekend! I'm especially excited for Puddle Lane and Knightmare. And The Raggy Dolls. And Count Duckula. And The Tomorrow People. And Button Moon.......Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -

It took me a couple of beats too after immediately thinking 'How Ruuuuuude!' :rotfl:
Ooh Old Skool CITV sounds great! Love Count Duckula and Art Attack and the Raggy Dolls and Fun House (and we still pretend to play Knightmare from time to time!)! Every Saturday morning I complain that there's no SMTV Live any more, they should put re-runs on for old saddos like me!

Got 40 things sold on Music Magpie last night for £88.49. They're picking the parcel up today, so I'm counting that as 1 thing for today. Also giving my Nan a DVD over cashing it in on Music Magpie, and found a bunch of change in an old purse I'm going to hold onto until I go to the shops later and can put in a charity pot for a third point![*]and hopefully have another bump on the way, after having lots of talks over the last few weeks OH and I have decided now is the right time to start trying againGot a sore throat/headache/cramps and feeling quite sorry for myself in general, just in time for the weekend!
Luckily we've not got a lot planned.
I'll join you in the feeling sorry for myself camp. I was started on some new tablets yesterday and I think my head is going to spilt in two. I had a really bad sinus cold when I woke too, so sent Grace to my mum for the day, but having read the leaflet with the tablets sinus cold and headache is listed as a common side effect so I'm hoping it's just that and nothing she can catch.
Went to Grace's respiratory consultant yesterday and overall it was good news. Her CT was clear enough despite her wriggling out the machine, she has some ground glass pattern to her lungs, which is present in ACD (the fatal condition) but it is also common in babies born very prematurely who have surfactant deficiency or chronic lung disease (needs oxygen for 28+ days - she has this) - so that's not verly concerning, she has some patchy dark pockets indicating larger air pockets which is unusual but not large enough to be cause for alarm, but most importantly she does NOT have interlobular interstitial thickening, which is a fairly definitive symptom of ACD. So the scan was a positive step towards saying she probably doesn't have the condition.
The down side was I started crying on her respiratory consultant within minutes of going through his door. And continued to cry for 20mins. So he called my GP at the end of his morning clinic and suggested I needed seeing as a matter of urgency as I was more than a little fragile. So I got called in to see a GP (not my usual one) and I cried on her within seconds of walking through the door, don't think I'd even gotten a sentence out. She's decided I have anxiety, probably depression too, she's refereed me to a specialist mental health worker to assess, and put me on some tablets to up my serotonin in the meanwhile. I agree with her that I'm more than a little frayed around the edges, I just wish this crystal ball we're all searching for could tell me Grace is going to be okay.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Oh Dinah, its hardly surprising your feeling a little fragile with everything you have been through and the ongoing concerns for little Grace. I wish I could wave a magic wand and make everything better, instead I am sending you a big virtual hug.
On the plus side I am glad to hear that the scan went well and is giving you positive news.
Yey exciting stuff. How old is Noah now? I think about 16 months or something similar? Be a nice gap if so.
He is 15 months now so yes hopefully wont take to long for baby number 2 to come and along then that will be a nice gap
As Noah wasnt planned I dont really know how long to expect it take of trying so we'll see how we go. Had a look on the TTC board but alot of if went completely over my head and made me realise I know NOTHING about my own cycles
Had a very productive day, cleared out some cupboards in the kitchen and had a good clean as I was going along. I lost count of how much junk I chucked out!
Packed up some bottles and the steriliser that has been sat unused on the side for the last couple of months. Also found a box full of teats for Noahs bottles, no idea why I have kept them as your not supposed to use them for longer than a certain amount of time so they have gone in the bin.
Kept a couple of bottles out as Noah still uses one for bedtime milk but the rest have been packed away ready for the next Flower baby.
Oh and job for tonight once Noah has gone to bed is to sort all figures out and update sig.Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
I need to find some narrow neck glass bottles for Grace, she's a right picky sod. She'll only drink from the one type of teat (which are supposed to be one use disposable) which are only available by begging nurses, they're not sold anywhere, and she takes the full 100ml in one of her individual bottles, but if you put two into a big plastic 250ml bottle she won't drink it! So I need to find a 200-300ml glass bottle see if she'll take that instead.
She was very cute yesterday though, mum took my brother and I for a nice pub lunch in what can only be described as a baby-pub - every table had at least one under 2 on it, but it's a HUGE place so we could eat without worrying Grace would catch anything, anyway, mum had a j20 in a pint glass and every time she drank some Grace kept grabbing the glass, so I told mum to let her try a bit and bless her she drank about 1/8th of the j2o out of this pint glass, even tried to hold it up herself. I'm not sure what age they're allowed drinks other than milk really, but she certainly seems keen.
19 more books sorted for the door to give to my mum to take to school.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

ERMAHGERD GRACIE STOP BEING SO ADORABLE AT LIFE! I swear down she's one of the cutest babies I've ever seen, I think it's the big eyes!
I think it's alright for babies to have things other than milk as soon as they start showing interest in other things? I think it's called self weaning or something?
Will be a nice age gap for your kids, Flower! How's our little man Noah getting on?feels like ages since I've properly heard (read?) from you!
I'm so excited for tomorrow mornings telly! I'm trying to think of things I can do in the living room for my "things"0 -
She gets "solids" (read mush) but she's such a picky eater (or rather has a fear of certain feelings in her mouth) if she shows interest in anything I try to let her try it, I want to encourage her rather than put her off food and drink even more.
Why isn't my new laptop here yet?!?! Been putting off starting music magpie until it arrives as this one keeps turning off.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Ahhh that's so freaking cute! I love her little ears and massive eyes, she's such a little character!
Sorry to hear about today's tear-fest, hope the tablets help things and you get that referral sooner rather than later.Good news about Gracie's scan too, lots to be positive about.
How's her breathing now?

She's like a little wingnut with those ears
Her hair is finally coming in now too so she's got a bit of fluff on the sides too.
Generally good, it can be a bit uneven, panting for a minute or loud breathing in her sleep for a while, but from what everyone says thats a very common preemie thing and with her it'll last even longer due to the missing lung bit, but it will calm down over the next year or two.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
