Looking forward to seeing this long-awaited rainbow blanket Tete! :)

I hope it's not a disappointment! It's really more of a throw than a blanket to be honest :o

Hope you manage to sort something Shrimpy, what a carppy situation. Making me think long and hard about what I'll do re. handing in my notice here - on one hand I'd love to take a couple of weeks off before starting my course but on the other could do with the extra couple of weeks' pay. Was planning on saving my holidays and doing what you've tried to but now I'm worried this will happen to me too (as we are short staffed and there's no way they'll replace me within a month - not that I'm irreplaceable, just that the HR procedures are so slow! :D).

I'm just slogging away on work, so not much interesting chat. I know Tete is doing her run this weekend, and hope everyone else has done something nice too. It's the first really nice day here we've had in months, just went to the park on a wee walk, feeling very happy that spring is finally on its way :j

Wow 4 days no posts!! Where have we all been?

I for one have been eating far too much birthday cake (the downside of my brother and I being a day apart) but I have joined a gym and have been to 4 classes so far. I am hoping it will show on the scales next week.

I have also finally finished a headband I have been making for DD and that was on my list for AA (to finish it) so I'm up to a grand total of......wait for it.......one!! :rotfl: doing well aren't I? But at least it's one project done and dusted. I'm hoping to get another one at least half done tomorrow. But my mam wants me to take her to the fabric shop to pick fabric for curtains so I have to restrain myself and not buy anything for yet another project!

Tete how are you doing with AA? You were storming ahead last time I checked.

    How is everyone else?

Very very quiet on here indeed. Hope everyone is okay. How is the job hunt going NIM?

The headband is lovely Star :)

I had a really busy weekend. I had to bake cupcakes for a charity coffee morning as my cousin is doing some voluntary work in Nepal.

We also had Max's pre-school open day on the same day and the next day my own organisation had a family event so was helping out at that.

And I also ran a Facebook competition to help my friend out with his restaurant (I moderate the FB page voluntarily).

    So I am wrecked today!

Lol Star! Thankfully not a typical weekend, I don't think I could cope with that level of busyness every weekend!

Max has me worn out too. He is being very difficult at the moment. I am really upset about the whole thing as I am losig patience with him all the time :(

We go through phases like that too. It's natural for kids to push their boundaries, especially (I find anyway) when they see kids in school doing certain things. I get upset with DD mainly because she's not normally naughty. She's really good (most of the time) so I get really upset when she is naughty cos its not like her. Do you see what I mean?

This is a phase. He will grow out of it. You will get a few grey hairs  ;) stick with it and never feel bad about telling him off when he is naughty. I've done the "I'm the worst mother in the world" thing so many times. Just take a deep breath and know that it won't last forever....well til he's a teenager anyway :rotfl:

Lol thanks Star :) I really lost it with him today though. He is a lovely child and extremely well behaved for everyone else but he is high maintenance compared to his sister. My Mam tells me I was the exact same though, so maybe it's karma!

I'm still here... working! I didn't manage to finish yet. Hope to be done tomorrow and then I can sort out the closet which will be my first AA. Plans for the new kitchen worktop and tiles are progressing too. It might be done in April, which would be so nice!
