Thanks for the linky Cinny! They look amazing! Just sent them an e-mail to enquire about availability and prices... may have also asked about a short break just for me and OH too. ;)

Thanks for the encouragement ladies, I am getting so close now!!

Got a date with the sofa and some chick flicks after I finish on Thursday. I'm going to get popcorn and have a great old time chilling and watching rom coms as my OH won't watch them :p (although he's happy enough inflict cheesy sci-fi on me).

Unfortunately then I'm back to the real world of deadlines. Hopefully the next one will be a bit easier!

How did the meeting with the Vicar go? (unless I've missed that too :o)

Well, hopefully have a Christening date by the end of the week. There was another couple there too and I felt a bit freakish tbh, here was me crying about my DD coming so far and wanting to welcome her into the church as I promised God I would do over her incubator when she was just days old, and they were just normal, calm and composed and getting their lad christened because it was important to his granny.

NIMs work has a bake off on Friday, but it has to be healthy, made a trial cake today, all vegan and gluten free, using banana and courgette instead of eggs.... It must have been the driest cake I've ever tasted, no way am I entering that to anywhere but the bin!

Manic day today, first time I got a drink let alone food it was nearly 3pm. Had doc this morning, came home and there was a guy delivering a palet onto the drive, so then I had to rapidly unload that into the hall before running off to get the train for another interview at work. So now it's like Challenge Anika just to enter the house by the front door. Job for NIM tonight me thinks.

That sounds perfect, Lara! I've been so exhausted from my 50+ hour weeks I cancelled my Pilates class last night and hit the sofa with my slanket, a cheeky easter egg and some 'rasslin. Was just what the Doctor ordered! Literally :o

It's no problem, Birdie. That place really is gorgeous, the places around it is great too. Haven't been in years though but I doubt it's changed for the worst. You know it's good when the prices aren't on the website ;)

Don't feel freakish, Dinah! Your reason is 1000% more in the right place than a family doing it to simply please someone, or to keep a family member quiet. I really don't get that, although it's not quite as baffling as those who get their children christened for the sake of a party.

Good luck with the bakey-sale! Can't be of help with an idea though, healthy and baking on come together in a sentence for me when I'm commenting on how they shouldn't be in a sentence together :p

So tired today, Grace saw fit to need 3 nappy changes during the night, the last one woke me at 4.15, she only settled down again at 5.45 then NIM's alarm started up at 6 and he hit snooze so of course that was Grace awake up for the day again. As soon as she made her presence known it was all I could do not to start crying, I just wanted some sleep!

House is a scary, horrible place to be right now as there is pallet related chaos in every downstairs room but the kitchen and bathroom. I still need to finish off getting upstairs ready before the downstairs clean can start again. So it calls for a to do list.

    1. Medicash claim
    2. Update all Amazon prices
    3. Finish sorting guest room
    4. Make another attempt at a healthy cake
    5. Order train tickets
    6. Write ebay listings for all 38 things I have left of this months selling allowance
    7. Work out March Madness total to date
    8. Contact Natwest
    9. Apply for First Direct account
    10. Book courier for Aunt's Christmas pressie (big oops!)

((((HUGS Dinah)))) I hope you can get a sleep while Grace is napping later on. Great news about the Christening date too! Can I ask what is in the mystery pallet? ;) Ohh and how about a lush carrot cake for the bake-off? Surely if it has vegetables in it that counts as healthy? :p

Glad you've got some hardcore chilling out on the cards too Cinny! Today is officially the LAST DAY of work so whatever gets done today, that's it. Tomorrow I'm watching Friends with Benefits and maybe I'll go window shopping too.

What have you been getting delivered on a pallet?! Good luck with the list, hope Grace lets you have a nap at some point. :)

Agree with Cinny about the christening. It's lovely that you're doing it for the right reasons (have you found your perfect church now or are you waiting for Grace to get older before going regularly?) and it's the other people doing it for granny who should feel awkward. :)

A lot of women I work with do Slimming World and are always making their healthy treats and raving about them, how about this orange cake? :) Not sure about calories as it's worked out in 'Syns' but 3 1/2 Syns is pretty good! :)

Trying to get the girls sorted so I can book a lodge but remembering why I hate organising things! I e-mailed the site manager blokey from Cinny's recommendation and he recognised my company name in my e-mail address and said that we're suppliers of them so if I call him he'll give me extra discount, it's already pretty good value at £399 for 3 nights between 6 of us so I'm happy about that! Set up a FB group so the girls could all look at it and asked them to confirm that they're free on the date I'm looking at and to let me know if they like the look of the place and all they've done is 'Like' my comment. Grrrr, is a Like supposed to mean 'I am free and I would like you to book it' or does it just mean 'Let me check my diary and have a look for alternative accomodation before committing to anything'?! Gah! Luckily I'm seeing them tomorrow night so can beat a firm answer out of them! :p

The pallet was another load from m'dear old dad. My Guitars, 3 computers, lots of clothing, some plastic boxes, plug boards some photos (including what I'm sure is the only photo that exists of me with both of my maternal grandparents, which was taken at my christening) and an old brief case containing 2 very large, unused, potentially 150 year old accounting ledgers.

So lots of useful stuff...to sell for march madness.
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

Birdie - being the organiser is definitely the worst job. Good luck

NIM that was nice of your dad to send you a big pile of stuff like that. Tat photo must be lovely.

Dinah don't worry about the other couple seeing the vicar. Having a baby christened because a family member thinks its the right thing todo is not a valid reason at all. At least when you stand up and make your promises in front of God you know you will keep them.
