So tired today, Grace saw fit to need 3 nappy changes during the night, the last one woke me at 4.15, she only settled down again at 5.45 then NIM's alarm started up at 6 and he hit snooze so of course that was Grace awake up for the day again. As soon as she made her presence known it was all I could do not to start crying, I just wanted some sleep!

House is a scary, horrible place to be right now as there is pallet related chaos in every downstairs room but the kitchen and bathroom. I still need to finish off getting upstairs ready before the downstairs clean can start again. So it calls for a to do list.

    [STRIKE]1. Medicash claim[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]2. Update all Amazon prices[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]3. Finish sorting guest room[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]4. Make another attempt at a healthy cake[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]5. Order train tickets[/STRIKE]
    6. Write ebay listings for all 38 things I have left of this months selling allowance
[STRIKE]7. Work out March Madness total to date [/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]8. Contact Natwest [/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]9. Apply for First Direct account[/STRIKE]
    10. Book courier for Aunt's Christmas pressie (big oops!)

Not awful, considering I was in bed by 8.30! Grace may be teething again as she's super grizzly today so not sure how much I'll get done. As an aim though:
    1. List box of books on Amazon
    2. Tidy lounge
    3. Make healthy pie for bake off
    4. Make last two healthy cakes, see if either are worth entering!
    5. Book courier for aunt's pressie
    6. List 10 things for ebay
    7. Dig out Grace's passport form and get it ready to send
    8. Check banking
    9. Tidy study
    10. Tidy bedroom

    NIMs list
    1. Bleach bedroom ceiling
    2. Anti mould and general clean all of conservatory (esp dresser unit)
    3. Hoover upstairs and stairs
    4. Dishwasher
    5. Make complimentary noises that at least one of the healthy baking items is worth entering
    6. Take computers and guitars upstairs
    7. Take tools, radiator and anything else that needs to go to the garage
    8. Put downstairs ebay boxes under bed
    9. Fold ironing into boxes to stow beneath our bed
    10.

One space left on each for oops forgotten things that I need to add on.

I like item 5 on NIM's list! There'll be trouble if it doesn't get crossed off! :rotfl:

The Miss World competition sounds... interesting Beccie!

Bit early for thinking about the weekend (if I get too excited on Thursday it makes Friday drag! :p) and my only plan so far is a papercraft fair with MIL on Saturday. :) Last time I went nearly every stall had cameras and signs saying 'Thieves will be prosecuted'; apparently the sweet looking little old ladies who go to this fair have very light fingers! ;)

Holding a 'Shabby Chic' shopping night tonight. Had one last year and my friends have pestered me into holding another as the stuff is really nice. Hopefully I'll get some freebies for hosting again. :) My friends will all be there so I can slap them all and tie them down to a date and place for our weekend away! :p

My weekend plans include celebrating Mother's Day (a week late I know). My mum was busy last weekend so we postponed it. I've asked her to come to mine for 2.30 on Saturday and I'm doing a (at home) afternoon tea for her (and everyone else). I'm thinking of asking her and my sister to come nicely dressed too as if we were going somewhere nice just for something different.

Thanks all, I have been having a brilliant day so far :D It will be deadlines like this until I finish completely in October-ish. But the Introduction was my real nemesis so a great one to get out of the way. Let's hope my tutors think it's okay on Monday.

Some lovely weekend plans shaping up there :)

Well done Lara and tete! So exciting tete! When will you tell your work? Will you be able to live at home still?
Lara you much feel so relieved to be able to tick this off and hopefully now you'll be on a roll and the rest will come a lot more easily. I know for ,y thesis I got hung up on the literature review but once I'd done that, the rest was a lot easier! Ended up pretty chunky though! What's your total word count at the end supposed to be? Also can't believe you finish in October! So soon! Are you aiming to be all written up by then? What will you do afterwards Dr Lara!?

    Evening everyone

Just been catching up with the posts. Everyone is doing so well with challenges - well done. I am currently sorting through stuff to put on eBay so that is a job for this weekend but there's quite a few bits to put on  Hopefully I will make some money from that. I did have some stuff to go to Music Magpie and was going to get £5.47. I tried to take the stuff to their drop off point 3 times, though over 2 weeks and every time they said their machine was down so they couldn't take the stuff. The next nearest place is about 6 miles away so it wasn't worth driving there for only a small amount of money - so annoyed. I'm now going to have to think of plan B for the CDs and DVDs!

On the plus side, we have changed our energy provider and they take over on Monday and it will be £9/month cheaper. We also had a revised statement from Yorkshire Water and our monthly charge has dropped from £32 down to £23, which isn't bad considering 3 months ago they tried to increase it to £70/month and told us we owed them £300!!! Turned out they were reading the wrong meter for the past 2 years  Good for us but feel sorry for next door, though, who will suddenly find their payments soaring. Today we also got our Council Tax and it turns out that we have been over paying (I knew I overpaid a bit) so can decrease the monthly payments by £25/month and will still be ahead! Result!

Hope everyone is having a good evening x

Hey Pilchard!! I love it when utility bills come down a bit, but yours seem to have dropped a fair chunk :T

Congrats Lara and Tete! Hope your day was relaxing Lara, excited to hear of your plans Tete :)

Can't believe that with your friends, I'd just book the date and if they decide they don't want to go - you and your OH can have an extra little break! Then next year you have a great reason to not be stuck with planning it again ;) I'd be terrible with organizing a group holiday, was bad enough last year and I was sat on the side lines.

Anyone doing anything for RND? Hope you DD has a good day at school all dressed up, Star :) Sure she'll look a real poppet as always!
