  • I'm afraid this view is the tiniest minority among even Con voters! The poster has not kept up with the times - Con voters know they have already lost the next election (see ConservativeHome for the full figures.) We need Growth now - even LaGarde has requested Osborne change course.

So how exactly does this theory fit in with the way in which young black men are also regularly 'stiched up' by the police and accused of things they haven't done? Is that a left wing conspiracy as well? Daily Mail readers don't you just love 'em! There's a red under the bed around every corner!

As soon as I see the tired old Daily Mail jibe I know that I'm looking at the work of a dimwit, and the rest of that post confirms it.

The left wing conspiracy -- if there is one -- refers to the alleged work of a de fact trade union, via some of it footsoldiers, to try to damage a Conservative-led government by underhand and dishonest means.

It has been said elsewhere on this forum that although the leadership of the PF is perceived to be left wing, the political orientation of the police in general is less clear cut and may not necessarily reflect that.

Some policemen may have no political scruples that would inhibit them from stitching up young black men. The key issue is that if the Mitchell affair is demonstrated to be a police stitch up, then it would create the impression that an adequate degree of management and moral code does not exist in the police to prevent stitch ups -- albeit that they are no longer very good at it. Ergo anyone might be stitched up for any reason, regardless of politics.

Alleged stitching up of Cabinet Ministers for political reasons and of young black men for other reasons are not therefore inconsistent scenarios.

Maybe a typical Daily Mail reader would not appreciate that. But then nor would a dimwit who thinks that it's smart to level that term at anyone who disagrees with them on an internet forum.

  • Oh dear oh dear, events dear boy events! have overtaken us as we spoke... it's official -ConHome poll says 67% of conservative members expect a Labour win in 2015! More details as I get them...

That's because Conservatives are realists who appreciate just how abjectly stupid large swathes of the British electorate are.

The real world is Conservative. Conservatives tend to vote with their heads, the left vote with their hearts.

Of course, let's take on more public debt, pour it into creating great swathes of non-jobs in the public sector, and call that growth. That'll sort it. Must be right, Ed Balls says so -- and look at his track record ........

Perhaps people have realised that there is only
    1 cake.
All that changes is the size of the slice you get.
Who cares who owns the rest of the cake.

Yes, votes should be given out based on contribution to the state.

So those that pay nothing in do not get to vote. Every £5k in tax paid is another vote.

As someone who has always voted Tory, I will now vote UKIP if it looks like it will make a difference, or Labour as a vote to destroy the country in its current form.

Voting UKIP will just let Labour in. Those who do it will then be crying their eyes out, and blaming Cameron for not delivering a clear majority, like many no doubt did last time.
