sold an ugly gold ring my granny left me and got 43 quid for it, not a fortune, but i never liked it, and was not very fond of that granny either! so quite happy to see the back of it.
Think i sold two bits of gym equipment on facebay, buyers coming to collect over next couple of days. also a bike. was in the loft yesterday and sent 2 loads of rubbish to the tip and another load to car boot hopefully at weekend. Found an old pram up there that previous owners mst have left - it looks brand new!
Spoke to my girl in spain, she is feeling down and homesick because of lack of contact due to no phone. I was trying to be hard, but my heart melted...compromise is that we will buy her a new phone but ask grandparents and brother to chip in instead of birthday or christmas presents this year.. mortgage 2 87,000 due 51,686.76 at july 2013, but then:new home and remortgage ... £101065.43:eek: now 74k

had a good day, sold a bike for £20 (should have been 30, but the girl is an old freind of our daughter, so gave her a tenner back - mate rates:rotfl:) and a lawnmower for £15, had been left by the previous owners in the shed, so cost us nothing. And a free tea at parents house.
Also emptied the loft, and 2 compost heaps taken to tip as the new owner has asked for them to be removed. Standing in a trailer full of half rotted compost shovelling it into a bin at the dump with OH took ages and our backs are aching now. also fell getting into the shower and caught my foot on door so sitting here with ice pack on big swollen foot. Still, we make a good team, OH and me
OH is outside burning all my old study notes for my 2 degrees, 2 diplomas and various courses - all out of date and no longer needed, what a time and effort i have put into studying for all those things.. mortgage 2 87,000 due 51,686.76 at july 2013, but then:new home and remortgage ... £101065.43:eek: now 74k

had appointment with ENT doc this morning and needing a tonsil biopsy. In fact, he is just going to do a tonsillectomy on that side as it may need removed anyway after biopsy. I don't think it is anything serious, but will have to wait and see. So 2 weeks off work coming up shortly! Will have to get the overtime in whilst i can.
OH got another tax bill in, never ending..he is hardly making any money on his own business, so hope it equals out next year. All his wages now going towards paying that instead of savings. He's working late tonight again. mortgage 2 87,000 due 51,686.76 at july 2013, but then:new home and remortgage ... £101065.43:eek: now 74k

aye, I know I shouldn't moan about the weather :rotfl: Just run out of stuff to wear suitable for heatwave and smart for work. Still having hassle with nationwide and solicitor getting impatient now. Our mortgage advisor is on holiday and solicitor goes next week, and our mortgage offer still not through yet. Just waiting till 9 to phone again.

thanks skint, it's been a bleeding nightmare - someone shoot me if i ever mention moving again! Nationwide have made a mess of the application, lost documents and not even asked for some documents until yesterday when we started nagging them. Solicitor is now saying we might not manage to complete on time -:eek::eek: leaving us homeless and facing financial penalties from our vendor.
After a day of emailing and faxing, not to mention several stressed phone calls we are just sitting waiting to hear they can finally release the offer. I am furious that we started this back in May with all the stuff they needed then and they wait until a week before moving to decide they need documents which they have lost twice...
Rant over - away to stick my head in the oven - to clean it, although much more of this..... mortgage 2 87,000 due 51,686.76 at july 2013, but then:new home and remortgage ... £101065.43:eek: now 74k
