I first found out about this card through this Forum and ordered one thinking I would cancel it after the free 2 months. I didn't cancel and while I have only used it 4 times have saved a total of around £80 pounds, so it has easily paid for itself.

I have used it in Molly's Yard, Northern Whig, Fat Buddah and just a couple of weeks ago in Ivory restaurant in Moira, which served one of the best steaks I have had in a while.

I will definitely be renewing the card for another year.

What did you think of Fat Buddah? I have heard poor reports but I would like to try it.

Note of warning Brownes boucher road refused my card as I hadn't booked a table, even though I was dining in a near empty restaurant at Monday lunchtime. I suggested that I went outside and phoned from my mobile but waiter wasn't amused.

Also did card holders know that you can now buy a supplementary card for use by your partner for only £15?

Renewed my card from beginning of April at £40.

Used it last night at Madisons Hotel Belfast.

Saved £12.20 on 2 courses. Accepted polietly and didn't scratch card. Food was yummy. Will certainly go back.

    Running total saved £12.20.

Monday 14 April- Olde Moat Inn Dundonald. Saving £7.95. Supposed to have minimum of 2 course but didn't fancy the starters(too heavy at lunchtime) so let us just have main course. Didn't scratch card

    Running total £20.15.

I've just got my card for the free trial. I see the previous note about Burbon refusing at lunchtime - Can I ask you experienced Hi-Lifers if is generally required that you book at lunchtime and at what stage do you say about the card?

Yes i would definetly book. I generally mention at the end of call about Hi-life card once they have taking booking. Some restaurants will tell you they don't take bookings, mention Hi-life card at this stage.

Bourbone should accept at lunchtime as symbol in Hi-life book and Internet indicates they do.

If you have one of these, and intend renewing it at the end of your 12 months, then don't.

Allow it to expire when shortly afterwards they will send you an improved offer to get you to renew.
