I had the salmon with curry butter and baby potatoes and a strawberry dessert. It was really nice. Steak is also on the summer menu. Cant remember wat else was on there lol. Give them a ring and they can fax the menu to you. Drinks were not included and were paid for separately. It wasnt overly expensive for the set menu but I cannot remember how much it was. There are different prices for 2 or 3 courses. They did scratch the back of the card tho but I am goin to try the nail varnish remover trick to see if I can remove it :rotfl:oooooooh i luv a bargain0 -
Hi, just a quick note to say that there is a free 2 month card available - spotted it on the newspaper thread yesterday. You need to buy the (English) Telegraph twice up to (& including tuesday) ie tomorow. Then send away the voucher that's in the paper with 2 tokens. Not sure if the voucher is printed every day, it was definately in the paper yesterday inside the back page. If you get this offer then afterwards you are eligible to get a 12 month card for £29.95.0

Used my card when I was in Enniskillen at Carrybridge Hotel. Food was lovely. The banoffee pie was to die for! but again only one course was taken of the bill. We both had main courses and desserts.
I think restaurants do not understand the concept of this card! It is happening in too many places! If it states in the book up to 3 courses, then 3 courses it should be! Anyone else finding that only one course is being refunded?oooooooh i luv a bargain0 -
Deane's Deli for my first use of the card!
Lime pepper and salt squid, cauliflower soup, two ribeye steaks, raspberry pannacotta and pear and almond tart. Took all three courses off with no questions and (unfortunately) scratched the card.
My £40 subscription has just had £28.75 taken off in one fell swoop!Life in this world is, as it were, a sojourn in a cave. What can we know of reality? For all we can see of the true nature of existence is, shall we say, no more than bewildering and amusing shadows cast upon the inner wall of the cave by the unseen blinding light of absolute truth, from which we may or may not deduce some glimmer of veracity, and we as troglodyte seekers of wisdom can only lift our voices to the unseen and say humbly "Go on, do deformed rabbit again.....it's my favourite". © Terry Pratchett in "Small Gods"

Just used my card for the first time at Bureau in Jordanstown. Rang them while we were on our way to book a table.( Just after lunch Time ) they serve all day on saturday.there was one other table eating when we got there. stated on the phone we had a hi life card....we waited at the bar to be seated. There was no sign saying wait here to be seated but we did not just want to wander to a seat. a guy asked us could he help us, we said we had just booked. he said to th waitress nearby "they are using Hi life card " ?????
we were seated... and it was very nice inside We placed our order and ordered a drink each. another couple came in ten minutes after we ordered and sat besde us. they ordered and recieved their order before us...Maybe a coincidence. But after 40 minutes our meal arrived but we didnt mind the wait it was a saturday afternoon.
THE FOOD WAS GORGEOUS....GOOD PORTIONS AND WOULD DEF GO BACK.
They scratched the back but we saved £100 -

Anyone renewed their hi-life card yet? I got a letter from them saying pay 20 quid and can use it up until June 2010.
Not sure if its worth it really? Any restaurants I went to usually just took one main course of the bill instead of the starter and dessert too, even tho we both had 3 coursesoooooooh i luv a bargain0 -

You should point out that book says 3 course applies. If they don't honour report to Hi-life or let me know and I will report.0 -
Just a quick question - Pizza Express has a symbol next to it in the book saying not Saturday evening - is it definately valid Saturday lunchtime? I'd phone the restaurant but I'm not sure which one I'll end up in on my weekend in London!0
