Hi Looked on the website for free trial and I wouldnt be too happy puting in my credit card or debit details if you are supposed to get a free month trial
    Why would they need it?
Could be a bit of a scam and they might continue to charge after your two months are up. Have you ever tried to get money back from some subscriptions not easy

You should be all right. They take your cc details in case you want to go ahead with it.However my wife took out free trial and returned card within the 2 months and they took no money. Also Belfast Girl (above) sent back but they did not receive and she had no proof of postage but they still returned her money. They are a legit company.

In the end they told me they'd refund it minus £10 but they refunded the whole thing :)

I used to use Hi-life but due to the credit crunch have not renewed this last year. By the way, its amazing how they send you cheaper offers to renew if you dont take up the 1st renewal price:cool:. It does pay for itself though in no time if you do eat out loads. Nowadays (being in the North West) I browse on Onionring.co.uk they put up some 2 for 1 offers and it doesn't cost you a penny in any memberships either.;)

I would query this with them and quote the Chairman's guarantee on their website:

    "No Quibble Money Back Guarantee
"I'm so so confident that you'll enjoy being a Hi-Life member that once you've tried it, if you're not satisfied we'll refund in full your remaining membership"
    David Heeley - Chairman"
I did quote that over the phone to them and got nowhere :(

October 17 Kings Head Belfast. Used 2 Cards to save £30.80 on 2 courses (6 people in our party). Word of warning waitress advised that card is only accepted at upstairs restaurant and not in gourmet pub downstairs.

Food was delicious but service very slow. Cards not scratched.

Saved so far £ 203.05 with over 5 months to go.:j
  • I got the card a while ago when Bel Tel were giving them free for two months if you collected tokens.

Got to say I'm converted and will be getting my card renewed! Used it in the bistro in Holywood (and they only crossed the number off once), Spice Club in the Ramada and Wine and Co so far. Excellent value. Also able to let my brothers use it when I'm not, so everyone definitely getting use out of it!
