anyone had any luck with this?

T-mobile haven't called me back either, looks like it may very well be possible to cancel without penalty but they are just trying to make it difficult.

  • i was told to email in, as disputed contract clauses can only be addressed by that cust serv team... got an auto reply saying it will take 3 extra days more than usual to respond as they are busy... probably dealing with this issue form other customers!
  • Do you have the email address and also a copy of what you wrote would be very helpful to other users. Ta

    Hi,

I just signed a contract with t-mobile last week and what I found about call charges to access numbers in another forum niftylist (apparently offline at the moment) is really worrying me:

    ---
    http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/personal/pages.do/help-and-advice/our-brochures/landing

click on (Non Standard Charges) dated 1/2/2007, i found hidden away the following statement.

"Calls to Access Numbers operated by other service providers( eg calling card services) are charged at 12p per minute. ???
    ---

Do you really think they will charge for any access number? How can they find out about all those numbers? The T&C I got with the mobile are dated "1st Dec. 2006", however they don't say anything about the actual charges, but refer to their booklets of charges.

I'm on a flext plan and used a 07755 number yesterday. My remaining allowance this morning was reduced, so apparently this 07755 number is currently included in my allowance.

I'm very worried now that this might change. I don't mind too much if they start charging for 07755/07744 because (fortunately) there are still other options, but what if they start charging for any number providing a call abroad service?

Any suggestions what I should do? Should I cancel my contract? Got my mobile last week. So far I'm quite happy with it and I also use the web'n'walk option which isn't available with any other mobile providers (as far as I know). However I most of the time use my mobile to call friends abroad, so this pay monthly contract is only of use to me if I can use it to make cheap calls...

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Nonsense, qadri, these options are not in the least bit new, or developed especially for these circumstances, as you and your fellow S-F spammers have posted them on here several times before

What is more, although S-F do not cover European mobiles, other 07744/07755 providers do, and the 12p T-mobile rate will still undercut rates on those two services for such destinations

edit - and your pretence to have just found them rings a bit hollow, when you posted them on this thread a week ago

Thanks for the link :-) This sounds indeed very attractive. However as I said above, it looks like t-mobile will charge extra for any other service provider - are they really capable in doing so? 020 is the area code of London, isn't it? So how can they charge us for calling such a number?

docf, a London number will come from your inclusive minutes.

You might set up an account with any cheap calls provider which has such access, for example Call18185 or Voipbuster; or maybe use Voipcheap's Manchester number, as they have good rates for several mobile destinations

The MSE Callchecker will have comparisons of most providers

Well, I suppose 020 xxxx is a London number, isn't it?

I signed up with 18185.co.uk as they have a 020 number (which I hope will always be included in my monthly allowance). I had a look at Voipcheap and Voipbuster, but I can't find any access numbers for mobile phones...

It is a bit hidden away; Voipbuster have had this for a few months, and VC and other brands introduced it about a month ago

    http://www.voipbuster.com/en/newsflash.html#news1
    http://www.voipcheap.com/en/newsflash.html#news0

They don't have the freecalls rate, so the cheapest destinations are 1 cent a minute. VC tariffs are roughly on a par with 18185, but with no connection fee, though popular European mobiles tend to be a bit cheaper.
  • I thim the real question is, has anybody been called back and cancelled the contract

if i remember its 30 days and 30 day till 1 jun is 1 may, so we need to try and sort this out asap.

any legal beavers able to help out, as it seems tmobile are trying to stitich us up
