i just got the same message from t-mobile!what a let down, juat after renewing the contract & upgrading to 50free minutes which i used to call my parents abroad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!someone please come with a solution!no phonecards please, they are useless!
  • ;] ;] ;] ;] ;] - i just mustered up the courage to call tmbobile and i asked about the change and quoted the change being unfair to me and i said that i wanted to cancel the contract.

the guy i spoke to put me on hold and said they were increasing the prices but it was fine because they had sent a text message.

i said they had to send a text as it was legal for them to do that and that the prices were going up and by law the contract says i can cancel if this happens

he put me on hold again and went to consult with a manager and he came back saying that his manager couldnt authorise it, but the team leader coudl because apparently lots of people have been cancelling contracts

so from what he said it can be done !!

i am awaiting a call back from tmobile about this and if you are are wanting to cancel give them a call as it seems that are trying to cover up that the contract is changed and we can cancel

    good luck all

I just had a chat with TMobile, all they keep saying is that 07744 & 07755 numbers had never been part of their inclusive minutes and they are just blocking a loophole. So it looks like we are going to be stuck with our contracts for it’s full length. I am just hoping orange and virgin don’t do same since I will be moving to them ASAP unless someone come up with a better solution.

If people have been calling 07744/07755 numbers and they have been coming out of their inclusive minutes, then these numbers have been part of their inclusive minutes! Check the T&C's of your contract and see if it mentions that they must give you written notification of changes. A text message is not written notification.

Their T&C allow them to notify you by postal or electronic means!
  • Don't let T-Mobile tell you otherwise, as I specifically asked this of them. They said yes. I have emailed trading standards - will let you know the out come.

I am not sure where your coming from. Their is no doubt they are included in inclusive minutes, until they charge from 1/6/2007.

Plus their is no doubt they knew they were used by people to make Intl Calls,as they started to charge for them once before for this reason.

Thanks for that, I'm afraid I could only relate to my experience with O2 where only written notification was mentioned in the T&C's.

Mind you, how could they possibly prove that you had in fact received a text message regarding the change?

it states that there are more charges then just the ones posted there is connection fee of 5p + the cost of dialing the 020

 If you read my post carefully, your notice i did in fact mention the connection charge and the fact you used your inclusive minutes to call the 020 access number.

10 minute call to USA via 18185 using your inclusive minutes. 5p connection plus 10p call = 15p.

10 minute call to USA using YCW 3p access number= 30p

Or if you make E&W 10 minute call to USA out of your inclusive minutes it would cost nil if you used pre-dial 07730 access number.
