Apparently this info is dated 13th April on the YCW website, which could have saved us half the discussion on this thread if we'd noticed earlier.

If T-mobile also charge payg at 12p/min for 07755, that is the same as their normal rate anyway. It will be interesting to see payg charges for the new access numbers

If this is the case, does it give us grounds to get out of our contracts?

would like to know as well, hubby just got a new contract 3 months ago - can we cancel due to increased calling card charges ?

Shall I go with virgin mobile?

Their T&C says" no cancellation charge is payable if you are cancelling because you entered into the agreement as a consumer, and we have changed these conditions, and that a change is of material detriment to you."

    So its worth asking them.

Orange are still allowing them at present time, but it would not surprise me if they started charging also.

im a bit scared to you know, so hubby doesnt go mad if i mess something up. is there somewhere i can check on this other than calling them.

so if it was a contract breach we could cancel our 3 month contract with no charge.

*excited* will free some £££££££££ if the case

I dont know what numbering ranges Your Call World are going to use so you can make cheap intl calls from T-Mob ,but you can normally do this cheaper using
http://www.18185.co.uk/mobilerates.php via their geographical 020 access number out of your T-Mob inclusive minutes. Theirs a 5p connection which you dont pay if your not connected and USA/Canada is 1p a minute, India landline and mobile is 4p a minute etc (Lots of destinations at reasonable rates).;)

You can also use the https://www.pre-dial.com 07730 o2 number (click on free destination list)out of your x-net minutes to reach approx 50 destinations (Evenings and Weekends only)

or u can use the simplyfone service either https://www.cheapestchat.com at v.good rates - with 4p connection chge or https://www.simplytext2talk.com ( 0208 access allowed in free minutes)

what the text from T-Mobile said for anyone who has not yet received it:

"From 1 June 2007 calls to existing numbers starting 07744 or 55 will be charged at 12p/min (inc.VAT) and will no longer be included in your T-Mobile allowances"
