I used P4D while they had the promotion, they've rolled out a new service.

    P4D is a reputable reseller.

    Hi all

Does anyone know if there's an intermediary firm who specifically use DPD or TNT?

I will be using DPD/TNT from now on - been using UPS for 3 years but in the past two weeks they delivered a package without getting signed confirmation and leaving it by the recipient's door (I was lucky the receiver got home not long after they 'delivered' and he mentioned it was out in the open for anyone to take).

Now I have an even bigger issue as a package has been misrouted and somehow been delivered to some random address in France when it should've been delivered to Yorkshire. UPS are attempting to retrieve it from this address but haven't had any luck in 3 attempts and have opened an investigation (whatever that does). It's an expensive item and due to their negligence, I will not be using UPS again. Therefore, my alternative is DPD or TNT so if anyone can help, I'd greatly appreciate it.

There are many resellers that offer DPD/TNT including Parcel2Go, Interparcel, P4D, Postage Supermarket, ParcelBroker and Transglobal Express. Check comparcel.com to find the service you want from the cheapest reseller.

Does anyone know the cheapest service for really heavy items?

    It's 31kg, and the measurements are 79cm height, 51cm depth, 63cm width.

I'm getting around £72 with Palletforce. MyHermes don't have an option for that weight.

    Any help appreciated please?

    Check comparcel.com - I'm getting £13.83 +VAT for DPD via Fast Lane International (wedelivertheworld.co.uk)

    Hi guys,

Have anyone used ecoparcel.eu before? Are they scam?
I want to send a parcel from Sweden to the UK and their prices are much cheaper than competitors. A lot of cheap options, sending from the UK to Sweden, but not the other way around :(

    Thanks!
    Julio

    Hi Julio,

Ecoparcel are not a scam, though there are some very mixed reports out there. To be safe, I would go for the next cheapest option which is likely to be ParcelBroker. Check comparcel.com to verify.

Does anyone use and have any recommendations for separate freight/cargo/parcel insurance for a small business?

    Thanks

It was an option as an add on to a home business insurance I once had. I didn't take it up as the premium was quite high and the excess enormous. Unless you send as lot of high value items you are probably best relying on carrier's insurance or self insure if you are so inclined.

Might be worth asking your existing insurer what they offer.

Especially for international shipments the size is essential to give any idea of the cost. Do you need insurance cover? If so to what value.
  • Hi Martindow,
Thanks for your quick response,,,really appreciate it. measurements are ......length - 85 cm,width - 60cm and height - 40cm........I do not need insurance cover as the goods aren't valuable but important stuff......

You're probably better off with a freight specialist such as the one below, as the cheapest mainstream courier seems to be FedEx through P2G at £197
