Myhermes - damaged 50% of the parcels I have sent
They now have a list of exclusions covering anything that cannot be broken with a baseball bat - but I suspect even they might not be safe.
My advice is go elsewhere or sooner or later you will regret it

I have had issues with MyHermes and damage, but I now bomb proof my packing and touch wood I've not had any more issues. I am aware my items are not insured but. The difference in cost between a parcel going MyHermes and one going RM is too big to ignore.

  • I find all the services are much the same. Prefer to use the Royal Mail. They deliver at roughly the same time each day and their parcel service is reliable and not a lot of difference in price to all the others mentioned. In fact in comparrison with some mail orders it is cheaper.

It is only cheaper for anything up to large letter, once you get into small packet or even medium parcel size then RM is easily beaten.

One of my regular items weighs approx 260g boxed , with Royal Mail it costs me £5.65 for 2 nd class mail untracked and insured up ro £20. MyHermes does that same package for £2.78 tracked and insured up to £50. For my smaller parcels where RM would be £2.80 I tend to send breakable but cheap items via RM and unbreakable more expensive items MyHermes.

Hi guys, I have a parcel that I need collected & then delivered to me.
Ideally I need to specify a collection time.
It weighs 12kg, is 100cm in length, 30cm depth, and 60cm height.
Would also help if I didn't have to print off a label.
Any ideas who would be best?

That may apply to you, bur it certainly doesn't apply to everyone - using RM for my parcels would cost me over £1000 a month more than I currently pay.
  • Is anyone else having issues with comparcel?

I just tried it for the first time and after entering all my details I keep getting 0 results.

I have tried 2 different browsers and various differnt postcodes and parcel sizes just in case I was doing something silly but nothing seems to make any difference.
  • Hi guys,

Have anyone used ecoparcel.eu before? Are they scam?
I want to send a parcel from Sweden to the UK and their prices are much cheaper than competitors. A lot of cheap options, sending from the UK to Sweden, but not the other way around :(

    Thanks!

Does anyone know the cheapest service for really heavy items?

    It's 31kg, and the measurements are 79cm height, 51cm depth, 63cm width.

I'm getting around £72 with Palletforce. MyHermes don't have an option for that weight.

    Any help appreciated please?

It's why I was selling it as pick-up only, but offered a good price, with an offer to arrange a courier. I obviously don't want them to arrange it - but it's almost as much as the item price. :/
