  • Hi everyone I hope someone can help me, I sold a pair of UGG boots on ebay for £130 what's the best courier to send them with please?
  • @passionflower I would say used parcel2go.com to search for suitable services for sending the parcel. I have used them a lot and have had no issues. Where I have required collection around a certain time, I have used twilex.co.uk and they are a bit pricey at £19.99 but they collect within a 2 hour window and up till 9pm.

    Hope this helps
  • Thank you Iwannabe, I forgot about parcel2go, all sorted now :)
  • Appalling service from My Hermes - parcel was due for collection on Tuesday and delivery Friday but has still not been collected. I was lied to twice over the collection by their CS. Have now got a refund and am trying to find another firm to deliver by tomorrow! Grrr...
  • I used Interparcel to send an item which they managed to damage, make five missed return deliveries and then eventually lost. So I took them to court, they employed solicitors who called me an embarrassment, frivolous and a mischief maker.
They also threatened to claim their 'reasonable' legal fees back if I didn't achieve judgment.

At the hearing, the judge called the companies handling of this consignment an embarrassment and passed judgment against them. They paid me £224 and their legal team £460 and it's another CCJ against interparcel.

I don't think they really care when their extremely poor service, using the delightful Citylink affects people.

    Interparcel, are a disgraceful company.
  • At approximately 10:30 on Thursday 20th November I booked a parcel delivery with transglobalexpress.co.uk. The parcel weighed 10kg and was 40cmx40cmx30cm and going from Blackpool, Lancashire to Cairns, Australia.
I chose the cheapest option because that was via DHL who have a depot in Cairns. The cost including collection from my house and additional insurance cover was £74.68.
The parcel was collected about 14:30 the same afternoon and was delivered at my daughter's address in Cairns on Tuesday 25th November.
I did have some questions with regard to the customs declaration form but a phone call to their office had everything sorted in a very efficient and friendly manner.
When you consider that a birthday card I sent to my son-in-law via Royal Mail took 2 weeks to arrive in Cairns, to say I was impressed by this service would be a massive understatement.
  • I am looking to send a package as follows to the USA.

    Weight: 1.4kg
    Dimensions (cm): 31 x 24 x 24

So far Parcelmonkey looks cheapest (£17.29 via TrakPak) - any other options I should consider?

    Thanks!

Have you used parcel2go before? If not, use https://www.parcel2go.com/tv and get £10 off. Makes it cheaper than ParcelMonkey. Other than that, parcelmonkey is the cheapest.
  • Hi all,

I just wanted to post to say thank you to MSE for suggesting Parcel2Go. What a brilliant service!

I used the £10 voucher in November, and had a rather large parcel delivered from London to western Canada, door to door, in 4 days, for 1/3 the cost of Royal Mail. It would have cost me more than £60 normally, and this cost just £23, with text notification of delivery. Wow!!!!

I was able to track the progress online, and couldn't believe how easy it all was.

Thank you so much to MSE and Parcel2Go! This was a revelation! :T:beer::rotfl:

    Highly recommended!!!
