Cheap Parcel Delivery - official discussion

Ok this may be a fluke or beginners luck as I've never used Collect+ before but I dropped a parcel off at my local Collect Plus shop yesterday morning & it was delivered today.

I paid for the cheaper & slower economy service which was at least £6 cheaper than Royal Mail (weight was over 2kg).

I'm impressed & will use again.

That Collectplus Jiffy Bag rule disappeared back in April (I have an email from them entitled "Goodbye Jiffy!") so now you can send items under 2Kg in a box if you wish.
Presumably they've just forgotten to update their T&C's

Hi, I'm new here and might not have time to go through the whole thread. I need cheap shipping for Monday if possible. Pickup Venice, Italy to Copenhagen, Denmark. 2x25kg, 120x35x35 cms. Any advise you could give me until Monday would be much appreciated - I've never had anything shipped from Italy - Thanks

Hi OTB, thanks. I've run in to their website a few times before. But doing a google search a lot of unhappy costumers popped up. If you experts have experiences with them, or maybe have a general feeling about what people on this site think about them, please let me know.

I've spent the day looking into Italian shipping and writing mails for quotes, but it seems like one of these countries where you need to have a personal contact before getting a quote - which sometimes is bad sign if you are a money-saver . . .

I've used them before. They haven't been the speediest, but the parcels have got there. Any parcel delivery company you look up will have a load of bad reviews. If you can find an actually delivery company (not broker) that has more good reviews than bad, I'll eat my hat.

Just remember it's italy, other than the driving, nothing goes quickly.
