I used Collect Plus for the first time this week.

I dropped my parcel off at the shop on Tuesday morning, so I thought I'd check the tracking this evening, and found it had been delivered yesterday (Wednesday)

So that was next day delivery.

By coincidence, just as I was looking, the buyer left good feedback, so it's been a pleasing first experience.

I'll still use Royal Mail for most things, but for lower priced things over 1kg, I'm going to use Collect Plus again.

I used collect plus for the first time on April 28th....

I sent my parcel to a store in Wigan where, a few days later the tracking showed it as 'unable to be delivered'. Redelivery was attempted and then suddenly my parcel began a long, unending tour of middle England until last Friday when it stopped.

I've just called them again and I'm told the parcel was refused at store. Why? They don't know..... I'm assured it will be back here today.

My guess is that the store is closed and Collect+ haven't updated this. My buyer says she's passed the store a few times in the last few days and it's never been open. Obviously when I get my parcel back I'll be asking for a refund and then resending direct to buyer this time.

    So annoyed though.

I've used CollectPlus twice this week, as a first time customer.

I live in a rural part of Cumbria, so it's a bit of a trek to the nearest town with a Post Office, but luckily the one and only shop in my village has started offering CollectPlus.

Item 1 was sent Tuesday and arrived Wednesday.
Item 2 was sent Thursday and has arrived today.

Early days yet, but these two 'test' dispatches have both got there next day which is better than I expected given I'm in the middle of nowhere as a sender!

Any suggestions for who to contact for quotes? I need to send a Super King mattress from York and deliver to Poole, currently on eBay. Dimensions 200cmx190cmx28cm weight 80kg.

If it was marginally smaller (two sides 46cm not 50cm) it could go Royal Mail 48 for £2.21 if the seller was an account holder

Is it cheaper to post if you have an account? Are accounts for businesses?

    Thanks
  • Is Royal Mail at £2 60, the cheapest for sending a single small parcel within the UK? The parcel is 4 cm wide & under 100 grams. No insurance or tracking needed. Thanks

I've used Collect+ 3 times now, since the Royal Mail price increase and I've had no problems. I find it slightly trickier to get my parcels to a shop- all of which are at least 3 miles away, but there are normally no queues (like in the PO) once there. I try to tie in dropping them off with another trip, so I'm not making a special journey. Anyway, they've all got to their intended destinations quickly.

I'm disappointed that from June 5th, using Collect+ will hardly be cheaper anymore :( I think they've just bumped up their prices because RM did.

Someone on here had a whole thread about it, the reason is they're actually haemorrhaging money. There's a link to the article on the other thread.

    Hi there

We are about to launch a site selling a variety of food ingredients including Oil, Vinegar etc
Can anyone recommend a delivery company that can safely handle these products?
Can't seem to get anywhere on livechat with some companies especially when I can't talk to a human while some others decide to simply ignore me.
