So how do you get around the 'needs to be a proper Payal address' issue?

That's the easy bit, all a buyer would have to do is add the shop address to their PayPal account and use that for delivery. That means seller would have full protection, but buyer would need to accept that as soon as it was dropped at shop that's it, they can't then make any claim for INR as that will be their PayPal address.

My own PayPal account has not only my own address but my mothers and at least 2 different uni addresses for my sons, plus a cottage that a relative rented out for a week one summer holiday.

    Hi chaps

I've sold a couple of items (Subbuteo) to people in Europe and need your help on the best price / way of sending them.

Both sets should easily be under 1kg and the destinations are Germany and Italy.

Any tips / things to avoid? - I've heard Italy can be a bit dodgy so can anyone recommend an alternative option (cheap courier etc).

    Cheers

"Their prices are the best I've found but the maximum size requirements are restrictive."

So true - and the website doesn't categorically state that the maximum dimension of anything they take is 50 cm ... it just implies it, but after a long wait for a human on the helpline, I got confirmation. Really annoying! Presumably too their maximum weight is 10 kg too - again not stated on the website but implied.

I'll keep looking - unless someone can recommend a similar budget parcel handler able to take larger / more massive parcels?

    Cheers - Eric

When you say "categorically state" what exactly do you want it to say? The website gives the size and weight restrictions here.

is what you are selling the type of item a buyer would enquire about,or expect to click and buy in one transaction?
you could get a mainland quote before listing depending on your volumes of course
I've just started eBaying and would like to put on an auction for a large coffee table - is "Collection only" the only way to do this as carriage costs would be indeterminate? And does "Collection only" work well?

    Thanks, all - Eric

Thanks, Sparky - I didn't find that "categorical" statement, just those max dimensions given for specific kinds of package rather than for all packages.
    Sorry, all - Eric

Nobody's going to be cheap. Interlink direct will likely be the best courier price. Use discount code 'GEN559' to get £5 off of your bill.

Sorry to hear about your wrists!

Never guess postage though, it could be disastrous, to give a postage quote for Europe you must have the wrapped weight, if that is impossible at the moment, than block all non UK bidders and stick to UK only. That also applies to UK postage, I assume you have already got both packed dimensions and weight to have given Uk postage costs?
