Does anyone have a recommendation from shipping about 5-6 boxes of 20kg from Denmark to the UK

Worldwide parcel service are the only ones I can find and they are only reasonable competitive considering the list prices - about GBP450 for 5 boxes.

    Check Ecoparcel
  • I would not use Yodel if their service was free. Used them for the first time in 2011 after they took over from DHL for UK deliveries. I booked in 2 x parcels through parcels2go with Yodel...first parcel worth £500 went missing for 2 weeks before eventually being delivered. Second parcel worth £200 was lost & never arrived. Got £50 from Parcels2go in compensation (they now only offer £20 for lost UK parcels) and dealing with both Parcels2go & Yodel was an absolute nightmare!

I use Citylink who can fail to pick parcels up sometimes though once they do pick them up they are very efficient & nearly always arrive next day and that's based on only using the standard service.

    My recommendations for parcel brokers in no particular order for sending parcels both within UK and Europe/world would be;

worldwide-parcelservices dot co dot uk (topup £100 or more get £5 credit)

Parcelmonkey dot co dot uk (Great rates for most of Europe especially light parcels upto around 5KG).

Parcelflight dot co dot uk (Certainly worth checking as they can beat some of the better known brokers & accept Paypal with no surcharge).

Parcels2go dot com (seem ok for some locations and give £5 free credits for topping up £100)

Transglobal dot org dot uk (worth checking as sometimes offer a good rate but watch out for extra charge which may be displayed for collecting parcel from you)

P4D dot co dot uk (worth checking and prices not too bad)

Randlogistics dot com (If I remember correctly had some good rates for USA & Australia and may be worth checking for other locations)

Gwizzcouriers / Total Parcels (Shame but no longer trading you will be missed as had some good rates)

Also a little off topic but ordered some great quality/value boxes from kitepackaging dot co dot uk. Normally get off Ebay however after getting last 2 batches of poor quality boxes thought I'd try different company & glad I did.

You're lucky you got anything, as you're in breach of their Ts&Cs. They offer you insurance up to the value of the parcel during the booking process, and they state in their Ts&Cs they may not give you anything at all if you didn't take out correct insurance.
  • I've been using ClickandSend Parcels since Gwizz stopped and they have been ok...probably because I only use UPS though.

I've tried tonight to send a parcel to near Aberdeen using them but there is an £18 plus vat surcharge because of the destination. This is despite clicking on the Highlands and islands on drop down menu on quote page and being told on next page £7.49 for UPS!

Anyway....any advice on cheaper delivery for 3kgs 40x40x40cms parcel please, 24 hr if possible?

I've sent to that area with City link via parcelmonkey next day for £7.49 plus vat.

MyHermes with the 25% off code mentioned earlier - HCBGJXDS3BCS.
    40 x 40 x 30cm parcel, 5kg, value £200.00, UK delivery = £6.39.
  • Thanks to you both for the response.

    Looking at both now.

I really am missing GWhizz/Total Parcels. I only use UPS and because I generally send laptops, most of which are around the £1k amount, getting the insurance to cover the laptops has gone from what was £13.42 with GWhizz to more than double with clickandsend. I miss you GWhizz!

I need to send a minimum of 4 boxes from Philippines to UK weighing 25Kg each

    Sizes are 50 x 45 x 36 cms each

3 boxes contain low value secondhand items and are not urgent, but one box will contain a computer (all in one type)

Has anybody got recommendations for a courier or broker to use, best quote I has was £481 (we deliver the world/fastlane couriers)

Preferred delivery time within 10 days

    Thanks
  • Hi. Can anyone help with shipping from US to UK please? I tried companies mentioned here but they charge more than 4 times what they charge from UK to US. Tried EBAY, but no luck.
    Thanks

Does anyone have any experience of sites that say they ship items from sites that don't ship internationally. Can anyone advise pleae
