So after checking the latest update with Collect+, I get the information that it has been despatched from the Raven RC on Friday, then I see that it's also been despatched from the Raven RC today. !!!!!!??????

So I bell them up, again, and get someone who is about the same age as my youngest daughter, and ask her what's going on. She apologises profusely, and tells me that it has been despatched from the Raven RC today, and the customer should get it by the end of the week!!!!!!!

I tell her that I could have walked from Ossett to Perth in that time, and that if I were her, I would feel embarrassed working for her company, and having to apologise on their behalf for their shortcomings.

So I then ask about compensation for their failure to deliver inside their own delivery window, and she gives me an e.mail address to write to. I won't hold my breath, but needless to say they won't EVER get my custom again.

If you want to laugh at the debarcle, then track it yourself on the Collect+ website: REX1K16

Thats the way to treat people.........

However, I did say that I knew it wasn't her fault, but I stand by what I said. 3 weeks to get from Ossett to Perth, is, frankly not on. It doesn't take as long to get something from Hong Kong or China, but at least you know they have slow postal system.

Their service is appalling, and people should know what they are up against with this company.

We put up with sloppy service in this country and don't complain enough in the main, but I won't put up with it and tell the company and it representatives so. If they don't like it, then tough !!!!.

Former CEO of the Royal Mail Adam Crozier copped it off me once, and he got it in the neck in the same way.
That's my mutt in the picture above.

    Doesn't show any more:

But my contract is with Collect+ no matter who they use for this consignment, and their tracking shows conflicting information.

Just noticed though that the area for HDNL as a contact, is in Liverpool, the same as Collect+.......

That parcel hasn't been scanned correctly, I'm amazed they found it at all. It should have been scanned off the Leeds van, then out the depot, then into the hub, then out of the hub, which should all be there even if it did get misrouted, so a few people down the line haven't been doing their job properly.

I used to work for FedEx when they were in the UK over 20 years ago before they pulled out, and then came back, the volumes then were nowhere near as what there are today, and we had very few misroutes as a whole. I was fortunate enough to go to the hub at night, which I think was at Nuneaton, to see it operate, and it was amazing to see. Four guys sat (1) at each corner of a track similar in shape to an athletic track, and they inputed every parcel depot sort code with a small keypad that came past them with lightning speed and precision, and it then went down the correct chute, to be loaded onto the correct trailer for onward delivery.

Every person along the way before and after the hub, had to scan the consignment, to make sure an accurate picture was painted. And they could even identify who scanned it, because you had to input your employee number when you used a scanner. And if when you uploaded the information to the main computer system which was in Memphis, you accidentally wiped it before uploading, then you got a serious warning for it.

The thing was, as soon as it was uploaded, the information was instantly there, so why can't these guys today do the same thing with what is obviously more modern methods? The technology is there, so why aren't those at the top doing something about those lower down the chain?
That's my mutt in the picture above.

you mean the person who was actually responsible?

But believe me, when I find out who the CEO of Collect+ is, they'll be getting both barrels as well.

By using the HDNL tracking instead of Collect+, which seems to be around 10 hours behind, it's finally arrived in the Perth depot:

    http://www.hdnl.co.uk/UPI-Tracking-Details/?upi=8V34F0426478A007

Wonder where it'll end up next?

    Let's hope it'll get to it's destination.

It sounds like it is having a round Britain tour.
