    Hi

I have a small box weighing 600g measuring 19 X 10 X 25cm. I presume it does not count as a small packet (Royal Mail) despite it being small. Any ideas,i t has to go to Italy, cheapest parcel delivery I can find is £19 which seems ridiculous?

I'm not sure where you got your price from. Standard airmail to italy for 600g is £5.42

Do be careful though, Italy is notorious for their postal service and many sellers won't ship there at all.

Ok thanks for the heads up. I won't send, it was a buyer asking me to ship when I normally only ship to UK or Eire. I will leave it, but thanks for the price, handy to know. I put in the weight again, it is a parcel size more than a packet. I get a dearer price.

Sad to report that Total Parcels - formerly GWizz Couriers - have gone bust :(

I have used them an awful lot over the last two years - and their customer service has always been excellent.

It's odd because the company re-branded a matter of a couple of weeks ago to Total Parcels with a new website etc.

I now need to find someone as reliable and cheap (for UPS + insurance) as they were

I am soooo gutted about this, and I really can't understand how they went bust, they must of had loads of orders because we were mostly singing their praises alot of the time. It is also a strange one how they changed the name to something else then went bust anyway.

One assumes they *may* have had an account with the couriers under a different name, probably not as a parcel company, and the courier companies cottoned on.

I don't know of anyone who comes close to those prices anymore, back to parcel monkey's citylink service for most.

    £6.13+VAT for ParcelForce through DespatchBay.

If anyone's interested, this code gets you £12 worth of free shipping on sign up http://despatchbay.com/s/1GD59

I too am sad at the loss of Gwizz / Total Parcels ... I always had good service from them. I could even bring parcels to their depot as I live near Newcastle.

They always advised me to pick UPS, rather than City Link, which I always did. The UPS drivers were reliable too.

I have had a quick look on the internet and have found this company, who also offer UPS deliveries

    Has anybody used them ?

    Are they any good ?

thank you .. AND HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL

I've used them for a one-off, had no complaints.

I was surprised they went bust too. Didn't the owner win loads of business awards?

I have just stopped using Parcel 2 Go as a result of them damaging one package and losing another, but also, because their customer service shocking. Following a recent complaint to them and my advice that I was going to report them to the Ombutsman, they responded with 'we are not regulated by the Ombutsman'. Whilst this may be fact, it was a warning sign to me and is one which anyone should consider when using these cheap cost couriers..

well why would you 'threaten' something you couldnt follow through with?
one loss and one damaged in how many packages?
    The same courier company?
Every carrier in the world can and has lost/damaged packages

I used Collect+ for the first time this week and was very impressed. I handed the parcel to my local shop at around 9am on Monday and it was delivered 24 hours later. It was cheaper than Royal Mail would have been and had the added bonus of detailed tracking. I'll certainly be using them again.

I have used them myself previously, but they have now gone down in my estimation.

Dropped a parcel off at the local shop on New Years Day to go from Ossett to Perth, (Not the Aussie one.) and it still hasn't arrived 8 days later. It was scanned onto the van on Jan 2nd at the shop.

I've just rung them up, and the last track they have is that it was last scanned at the depot in Leeds.
