    Just a data point.

I downgraded my Sky from the full package to the bare minimum about 6 months ago, and cancelled totally in October when my contract ended.

I had an email two weeks ago offering 75% off my TV (everything, inc sports and movies) for 12 months if I came back.

It was a targeted mailing, but there was no code. The guy on the phone just said "You've received an email giving you that offer? OK then, I'll get it processed."

Makes for incredibly reasonable TV for a year. If anyone has recently left, then it's probably worth a shot. They also gave me a £50 bill credit as a bonus. T&Cs say the offer ends on 20/12/12.

I've just called and said this and got the 75% off! :) Also got the 2TB for £49.99

    Thank you so much :)

Something is very wrong with your setup if you cannot see the difference between SD and HD if its a highend Samsung.

It's called getting old, perhaps it would help if I changed my specs. :)

HDMI. When we had Sky+ we had scart to the DVD/VCR recorder and HDMI to the TV, we now have a separate HDMI feed to the TV from the recorder and no feed from the TV as we now only use the recorder as a DVD player.
  • Afternoon all,

After being lucky enough to have the MSE voucher deal before Chrimbo for HD upgrade for an extra £5, I have just had a shock letter advising me that my bill is increasing from £30.70 a month to £42.80!!!
The account shows they discounted me 50% off the HD PAck upgrade, but then now charge me the same onto of Entertainment HD pack?? something which was free before? So it appears that they trying to recoup costs?
    anyone have the same issue?

Yes! I'm having a similar issue!!

I signed up to TV, Extra and Movies, Broadband and Phone - 39.50 a month - great!

Upgraded yesterday to Sports Pack as it was showing as a 6.50 upgrade online when i tried to do it. It confirmed as new total of 46.00 a month when i upgraded.

I now can see that ALL of my original discounts have been taken off my account and my bill has increased to 68.75!!!!!!!!!!

Fuming! They are saying it's right and can't understand the point that I'm making - i'm so annoyed!!

I also was wanting to add the HD pack but I daren't touch it now!!!
