  • Number 135 reporting in with 1st overpayment for October being £79.59 please VoucherMan

Which I think makes my total year to date £6112.14/£7000

October is going to be a very tight month as we need essential roof repairs but will try and make at least one more overpayment, even if it's only a little 'un. Had always planned on having November as a month off for Christmas and car expenses for the year.

In worst case scenario, we need £9226 by June next year, our target is now at 66.25% so may ease off a little until next year but am still determined to meet £7000 target for 2013. Am under threat of redundancy at the moment so if I am made redundant and get a new job, we could be in a good place. Fingers crossed for that one :rotfl:

Well done on all of the over payments and congratulations to everyone who is very close to being mortgage free :T

Thanks as always to VoucherMan and to everyone for the amazing support here :D

  • Hi All
No 65 with an october overpayment of £200. I was really hoping to be under the magic £35k mark on the mortgage by the end of the year but I think we will be just short. however when i look back to a 6/7 years ago, how much we were paying and not knowing about overpayments and generally wasting money I know we've come a long way :)

    Happy overpaying all

  • I now have final settlement figure from Santander to complete my journey.

16 days to go to Monday 4th November 2013 when we shall be in a position to pay the final overpayment (chunky), final monthly mortgage payment and rip off early settlement charge.

Its been a lot easier being part of this thread over the past 10 months as a great source of encouragement.

I will update further on Monday 4th November 2013 and continue to follow this thread until the end of the year.

    Good luck everyone.
