Oops! Hope I didn't put it on someone else's by mistake. Early morning. Not enough caffeine
Also (hopefully) updated while I'm here kirstypark, icontinuetodream and icklehelen.0 -
Number 135 reporting in with 2nd overpayment for October being £187.86 please VoucherMan
Which I think makes my total year to date to a nice round £6300/£7000
Would have loved it to be more but essential roof repairs scheduled to take place next week have wiped out the rest of the payment. Still planning on having November as a month off for Christmas and car expenses for the year but will still make small payments each day on the PAD thread and report them.
I have it confirmed now that I will be made redundant in December and have managed to get a new job to start in January, so when my redundancy payment comes through we should have enough for the endowment shortfall by mid January :j
Well done on all of the over payments and congratulations to everyone who is so very very close to being mortgage free :T

Thanks so much LavenderBees
I honestly thought I would be on the employment scrap heap. I am 10 years from retirement and work in a very specialised job in an even more specialised field. By an amazing coincidence a job very similar to mine came up in a company that I did not even know existed and it's literally 5 minutes from where I work now! Updated CV and letter and 2 interviews later and I am delighted to find out that they want me and despite being a tiny company compared to my current employer they will match my current salary :j

That is just fantastic :T So very pleased it's working out for you. Gives me much needed hope that, out of a truly bad year, some good can come.0 -
Morning all, #79 signing in (what could be one of the final times) :money:
This month I have overpaid by £9336.24, which includes a matured long-term fixed ISA plus all its interest. I can't find anywhere near a comparable rate to what it was before (or higher than current mortgage rate), so I'm (rightly or wrongly) pulling it all out and making a huge capital repayment instead. I am saving some of it as my emergency fund.
This month's overpayments leave me with a mortgage of approx. £9K. for me to clear by New Year. Its a race against time now!
All the workings out over the last 3 years are final coming to a head though and I am still on target for MF for 31/12/13 as per my previous post (just!). I have made a call to the bank to recalculate my previous month's overpayments to reduce my monthly repayment. It now stands at approx £55 p/m which is about right for a 9K mortgage.
Off to update the MFW2013 spreadsheet now and do some property !!!!!! on RightMove, who knows I could find my 3rd MFW project further up that ladder! :www:
