OP of £315 to start the month off and take me past 80% of target - a small consolation for having to be in the office at 5am :)
  • Hi Everyone, Please can you put me down for an October OP of £150. This is less than my previous monthly OPs :(but it was becoming a bit of a struggle so I made the decision that I needed more of a balance between living now and OPing. I am still going to reach my target though and will still finish my mortgage three years early in 5 years time:). Lavendar Bees you have to stay with us to keep me motivated! Thank you for all your hard work updating VM :T.

I simply cannot work out how to express my off-set mortgage balance against what should be and therefore work out what is overpaid or not.

Hi Southerndave, I also have an offset mortgage and due to a glitch their end when we re-fixed we overpay £125.25 each month in our repayment figure, despite not technically being allowed to overpay with a fix...........:p. For the rest of it I do the same as liz-paul and count any additional payments into the offset as overpayments. It's going to skew my figures at the end of the year as the true mortgage balance won't reflect these extra payments but I'll worry about that another day :rotfl:.

VoucherMan, thanks so much for keeping us all on track - don't think I'll be reaching my 2013 target as only have my £125 OP to declare for October due to some horrendous food spends and other unplanned binge-shopping over last few months, but back to meal plans and budget so hope to go out with a bang and not a whimper at the end of the year - a girl can dream.....:money:. I'm #111. Good luck all on the final push!

    Superb BT, well done :T:T:T.

Just sent update through, £2185 off the total. Looking to miss target by around 1.3k, but it was very ambitious :o.

    Great stuff everyone :T.

    :) Mortgage Balance = £0 :)

That time will pass really quickly, I remember 3 years ago, setting myself a 5 year target, and now here I am 3 years later within touching distance of the finishing line... THIS MONTH I PAY OFF MY MORTGAGE! Not next year or next month but actually THIS MONTH! Whoo hoo!:rotfl:

And yes, unless anyone has any objections I'd like to stay...I need to ensure I'm motivated to keep phases 3 to 5 (!) of my savings moving forward. If I don't have to post here, I know I'll drift into bad habits again. :rotfl:but I won't be on the MFW spreadsheet, of course...I'll just keep an eye on you all, [STRIKE]bully you shamelessly [/STRIKE], encourage you and post my progress in my signature for my various plans. :A

COME ON, Building Society, please give me my figures...this waiting is killing me! Mind, I'm only 28 days early. I don't believe I can pay it off until 28th Oct. :rotfl:

    Happy Days! :T
