  • Hi

#73 here with a total OP in Sept of £304.50

Please can I increase my target to £3,000? My hours have dropped back to part time for now but I think we can manage to still OP a bit and I'd like to have something to aim for.

    thanks

As we head for the last week of the month another batch of updates.

Tony_R, Southernman, fluffysox, emmita, kirstypark, ecoelle, ajmoney and Marie27lol have all had ops added. My own September one on too.

chocoholic_chick your op is added and target amended. Yours is also amended Time to face the music. PaddyPaws also with an op and a new target.

In case anyone's missed it we've another new starter - stewby added at number 199.

    And the £1,000,000 question

Statistically I would say yes. Almost 3/4 of the way through the year and well over 3/4 of £1,000,000.

But there have been a few big ops, most notably in May when TwinnyD cleared her mortgage. Still the current target only counts targets from those who have made ops, unlike the original which counts them all. Some have set unachievable targets while others have had changes in circumstance preventing ops. I've been hunting down a few diaries of those who signed up but never started. BaconandEggs I discovered had reached his target in May so I added it to the chart. I may find one or two more yet. Hopefully a reminder towards the end of the year will bring a few more updates as it did last year.

It's going to be close. Need about £70,000 a month for the rest of the year but then if it was easy we wouldn't all be here. :)
  • Number 135 reporting in with 2nd overpayment for September being £818.48 please VoucherMan

Which I think makes my total year to date £5938.37/£7000 :T

July next year, we WILL be mortgage free :j

Well done on all of the over payments and thanks everyone for the amazing support :D

  • Unfortunately, I don't know if I'm going to be able to add to mine this month. Payday tomorrow, but I have a HOOOOOOOGE electricity problem and have no idea how much it is going to cost to put it right.

I had £700 set aside for my overpayment this month, but will hold onto it, until I see the size of the bill I'm landed with.

I know...I know...I'm letting you all down. We'll never reach that elusive £1m with me on the team :o

    :hello:

I signed up late for the challenge and made a couple of overpayments but haven't declared anything for the last couple of months. We had a death in the family and Hubby and DS made a trip to the UK. In October DD, DGS and myself will be having a trip over to the UK and all my spare pennies have gone to saving money for the trip. I'm hoping that whilst we're there we don't spend too much as I'm planning on paying the remaining money to the op.

I just thought I'd let you all know that I'm still around and following the thread for inspiration and motivation.

Well done everybody on all your overpayments :T
  • Hi
    Southportguy (106) reporting for September..
not a bad month, not as good as August but a few other bills to pay before the end of this month and so i know that the total i am stating will not be improve upon
so.....put me down for Sept for £7575

Looking good for smashing my total of 40K as coming up to my busy period now, so looking to do £12K in October and maybe 15K if lucky

love the site, love the thread as a real eye opener as I was drifting through my mortgage paying life just making small overpayments which would not see me clear my debt before retiring........... now well on track!

  • #123 making my October OP of £1,150 early as it's pay day today :j

The next couple of months might not be so great as I have home insurance to pay out in November and I have naughtily booked a(nother) mini holiday for next month :o but I'm on track for my target of the year (which is the 10% capital limit imposed by Santander)!

I've had a good month and managed to get most of my Christmas shopping done already  and planning to get the other little bits I need in the next month or so, so I'm hoping that December won't hit my finances too hard... I may even be able to top up my ISA then, before starting MFW 2014 OPs!

Sorry for rambling... Good work everyone, and thank you VoucherMan!
